    I would lean toward that Black Hunter with long bow limbs that @BLR1970 posted above for a starter. But I prefer a long bow. ILF is another great way to get started.     For sure. The pack down flat has never been an issue for me because I have never needed or wanted to carry a platform in a pack, just on it.     Love my mission. Also use a windwalker stand some. A LWCG .5 would be another great option for something larger but still light weight. Novix or XOP has a small stand some folks here like as well. It's similar in size to the .5 and windwalker.
