I just started hunting this year with a compound bow, but I feel drawn to the trads for their simplicity. Do you guys think a new archer can hunt ethically with a trad bow in a reasonable time frame?
Depends on what you have for time to practice. I shoot daily right now. Unfortunately in my opinion it's not like compound...pick it up the week before season, flag some sdistances and remember what pin is which :-/Honestly, without in person help, no. The learning curve is brutal. Especially for a well tuned set up. If your planning on a 10-15yd shot maybe.
Damn @100rollie. ...making me jealous, and drool! Look at those twin widows! Some pictures of my girls. Autumn Oak had made in 2001, had the Graybark made in 2004 to match identical. Three years ago sent Autumn Oak in for refinishing and weight reduction, just got the Graybark back month ago from refinishing and weight reduction too. Both are 55lb. at my 29" draw. I still need to set the Graybark up, rest, arrow holder, string ,ect.
From 1985 to 2001 I shot J.K.Chastain Wapiti recurves, gonna try to see if I can find pics.
Thanks, been enjoying shooting the elburg lately!Gorgeous, nice skins too. Picture would make a nice screensaver!
