Can you dye amsteel at home?

Just as the thread title reads, can amsteel be dyed at home? I ask because I ordered gray amsteel, but it is more like silver. Darn internet photos. I would like to darken it significantly. Dark brown or black. Thanks for your insight.

I have never tried and kind of doubt that it is dyeable because it is supposed to be waterproof I doubt that the guy would stick

Have u brought the amsteel outside ? I got the gray cuz it blended in with a wider color range when I compared them.

I know some of it looks more silver than gray but it still blends in good in woods. The black horizontal wrap lines & vertical hanging lines are more of noticeable than the gray. Get the gray/silver amsteel a little dirty & it hides even better.
