Yes sir I’m familiar with the heavy bow stabilizer. I shot a Hoyt target recurve growing up. I think it came in about 8 lbs. for no longer than it takes me to decide if I’m going to shoot to shooting I’m not really concerned. I’m shooting a softball not a quarter.

Allegheny Mountain Recurve, made by Bill Kerner of Apollo Pa...right down the road from me.
I helped him build it.
No. He sold the business several years ago to someone in E Pa (or Jersey??)Never shot one of his bows. Is he still building?

I'm not sure what the current status is.
I shot one of Bill's Mountain Bows when I didn't have the money to buy one...wish I would have found a way to come up with the cash because it was sweet and I shot it well...lesson learned. When you find a trad bow that works for you, buy it.

Since the '94 season my choice has been an Acadian Woods Carbon Signature recurve. 60" & 58# @ 28". Just this past week Tim Mullins started working on a new one for me. It's going to be the exact same bow with the exception of being 45# @ 27". Plus, some of the new "fancy stuff" that he now offers for his custom bows. I'm excited and looking forward to my first saddle kill with it this season.
