Aw, man what you mean. Your not going to do any shameless plugs for your sponsors? No subliminal advertising messages? You mean it's just going to be a couple of good ol' boys, like shooting the s#$t around the fire at night, and having some beers, sharing a laugh maybe, talking about life and huntin, and stuff? Damn I don't know Nutter. Can't imagine why anybody would want to listen to that. Oh, wait a minute. I know. Because it's real, because it's simple, it's fun, because it's a passion we all share, and we all need a laugh once in a while. Plus it's really nice to get know other human beings. Here's an idea. Share your listeners crazy stories. Do a live call in segment, and get the audience involved. Get em on speaker phone and mic em up. How ever you do it, just do it. Nothing ventured, nothing gained Plus, I have no idea what the hell water swatting coot is.

Sure I'd do a web show in crotch less spandex for u
How about that fish net stocking stuff Wiggy's sells? I just can't picture how it works. I got that spandex stuff you describe and it doesn't help as a base layer. ;)

lol I'll not derail the mans thread any worse. But I'd listen and be a person on his talk show. Warn all of ya though I'm country to the bone I talk funny I'll tell ya bout butchering hogs catching fish killing stuff farmin heartbreak and loose women.

Do it! I like hearing about how my fellow saddle hunters access land with quads and kayaks etc..I'm born and raised in maryland and we can't do anything anymore. In the last 20yrs almost all the woods/farms have been developed. Fortunately between the state park and our 10acre family property, i still can be a hightec redneck. We are a dying breed here.

I really enjoy the “stories” told through this site. Certain well known members definitely have a recognizable personality seen through their writings. I’ve never really gotten into podcasts, but I would certainly check this out

Personally, podcasts bore the living bejesus out of me. I tune into about 5 or 6 a year if there is a guest of great interest, and then I usually make it about halfway through. But that's just me, there has to be a market for them as many as there are out there. And I have gleaned that you are one funny and relatable dude so I say go for it.

Nut I know I’d love to listen to you! I’ve listened to many many hunting podcasts over the last few years and the number one piece of advice I can give is, make sure you have a good mic/audio system. Don’t cheap out on that. If the sounds of your voice (and guest) isn’t very clear, without back ground noise, it’s going to very difficult to listen to for very long especially while driving. There are a couple of podcasts that I’ve really wanted to listen to but the audio was so bad I felt like I had just been in a wrestling match by the time it was over. I tried a couple more times and I just won’t listen to them anymore. Ask the THP guys what they use. They do a great job with audio.

The other thing I’d do is, sit down and write out a list of topics you’d like to discuss on your shows. Try to write a topic for each week, month or whatever your frequency is going to be. That way you know you’ll have content to fill each show as you have a chance to think about each one and prepare in advance. I’ve also listen to quite a few podcasts that I really like and it becomes obvious that they didn’t really plan in advance for the show they were currently doing, and it was boring as heck. That will tend to make me switch over and start listening to someone else also.

Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

To add to my comment earlier. I've never been a music guy and I have a 40 min drive to and from work everyday so I listen to a lot of Podcasts. I enjoy two different types. The first type is when there is a very knowledgeable guest on (Infalt, Eberhart, D'Acquisto) and they go into very specific detail about their hunting tactics and techniques. That doesn't sound like what you are aiming for from your description.

The second type is when they discuss a bunch of different light-hearted topics. The one Podcast I have found that does this well is the Meat Eater Podcast. I really enjoy the episodes where Rinella and Janis bounce around between different questions and topics that viewers write in about. Bouncing around between different topics keeps it interesting.

It's the Podcast's that fall in between and discuss one general topic, or one person's season for an hour that I quickly get bored listening to.

Make it happen. Regardless of the topic I’ll listen to a good story.
I’d be down to talk about how I live life at the bottom of the boot. Which consists of anything from catching crawfish and frogs to hunting nutria and deer.

The first pod casts I've ever listened to is @g2outdoors and @redsquirrel and loved them, they helped my night at work go by.
I've watched a couple of your videos and judging from them I think you would do an awesome job! Can't wait.

Awesome feedback folks. Keep it coming. We don't really know exactly what we have in mind, so we're open to suggestions.

@GCTerpfan, I think the second example sounds more in line with the vision we have. I'd love to be able to answer listener's questions, and maybe have a live call-in segment if we built enough of a listener base.

We're working on hardware/software. We want to try and run things through our phones. This will hopefully give us the flexibility to create content on the go. Sone pretty cool options out there.

Sounds interesting, I listen to a bunch when driving, I'm going to keep an eye on this thread!

Wouldn't expect anything less from you Bling.... That's why I recommended you in the first place :)
Make it happen @Nutterbuster!

Give it a shot. Sounds fun. I bet you’d be good at it bumpkin. I like chatting with my southern brethren.
