I feel like this may have been posted before but I could not find anything quite like it. Only reason I am posting is cuz I have this nagging feeling I am forgetting some preparation or step for success this season and I hate that feeling!

My checklist is this right now:

A. Weapon set up
1. Bow tuned with new broadheads
2. Plenty of arrows slung from 15-20 ft up in backyard
3. Muzzleloader sited in (this will be happening this weekend)
4. Old savage 270 sited in (this usuallly happens early November cuz I use the same scope from my muzzleloader; #cheap).

B. Scouting
1. Have at least 5 pieces of public picked out and scouted
2. Have at least 2-3 spots on each piece in case one gets spoiled for a grand total of 10-15 ready to go trees to sit
3. Prep as many trees as my equipment will allow (the primal steps have helped me afford to prep a few more)
4. Trail cams have fresh batts and are where I want them

C. Gear (this is where I fall down I think)
1. Early season gear is treated with permethrin
2. Boots are solid/water tight
3. Pack is comfortable enough for those long hikes in
4. Mid to late season clothes are ready to go
5. Saddle is comfortable and ready

What am I missing?! Thx y’all.

Don't forget to look over your vehicle. I always change the oil, check all the fluid, psi in tires......etc right before season starts.
I also try to waterproof the starter wires.
I lucked out with quotas in a wma pretty close distance to the house this year but past years I'm putting some miles/wear and tear on the truck

Good call. I am due for an oil change.
