Just pulled the trigger on one with leg straps. Now I just need to piece or source a lineman’s rope and tether. I’ll use sticks on both sides of the tree until I either DIY or purchase a platform

The oplux or predator rope or any good 8mm or 10mm climbing rope will work for your lineman. And the latest distal hitch threads are gold. Seems they work almost as well as a ropeman. Minus the weight and $45. I love my ropeman but I’m going to try the distal to replace my prussik on my tree tether.

This is great stuff! I’m so new to saddle hunting like many of us on this forum I’ve been hunting out of stands for 35 years. I’m going to check this system out. I cannot see spending $300+ on other brands and I’m not knocking that product but I just paid for daughters wedding and my sons grad/bday party. Lol. Money is tight. I have a sit drag on order, however even the sit drags are ok back order! I’m looking to construct my own. But now seeing this H2 saddle, it’s totally affordable. Thanks for posting!!

I finally pulled the trigger and ordered my first saddle, after 3 years of sheer indecision. I went with the H2 for price and quoted wait times, since they all seem to be more or less the same concept. Their quoted wait times seem to be very accurate. They change daily on the website and it looks like mine will ship on Day 17, which is right when they said it would (about the middle of this week). I'm still trying to figure out the platform choice because everything I've read about is either out of production or on a 3-4 month wait.

Ordered one with the leg straps on the 7th. I think he was two weeks out now. Haven't received any shipping info yet. Placed an order for a mini platform for my sticks today. Should be set once everything comes in.
What mini platform did you order, if I can ask?

Check out the Hawk seat. You can modify to act as a platform. Definitely need to ratchet down. I’ve tried my buddies and it works just fine.

Btw. Would you kindly post photos of the saddle in use? I haven’t seen any photos of H2’s on this forum. Unless I’m missing something?

Check out Artisan Outdoor Fabrications & Metal Craft on Facebook. He sells mini platforms that attach to the top of climbing sticks. Just got mine a couple of days ago.
Have you had a chance to set it up yet? I have a set of Lone Wolf Alpha sticks. I left a message with the guy to see what he has.

Gotta say thanks. In 5 minutes, you folks gave me a few solid leads for platforms that I had not heard of before.
I appreciate that a lot.

How did you modify it? Just pull the cushion off? That looks pretty easy to set up.
Thanks.

Yes. The cushion is detachable and not needed. It’s best to purchase better brackets to replace the Hawk bracket so that it’s sturdier than what’s currently on there now. The brackets on the seat are very small and will kick out under load. You can use the Lone Wolf tree stand bracket (below) and good straps to cam it down tight. You can I should’ve mentioned this in last comment. My apologies. Here’s link below for the parts. Hope this helps!

Thanks. I just ordered the mini-platform from Artisan Outdoor Fabrications & Metal Craft but I do like options and differnt styles to see what ends up working best for me.

Looks like a lot of stitching going on in that picture. Is that normal for saddles? I’ve only hunted out of a sit drag.

I installed it Friday. Just had to buy a couple longer bolts for my Helium sticks. Just had to remove my top two steps and then mount the platform with the bolts. Haven't tested it yet but it seems pretty solid.

Could you send me link to Artisan? I’d like to check that out.
