Kestrel flex sizing help

So I ordered a kestrel flex on Friday and I’m thinking I may ordered the wrong size now reading some post. I’m 5’9” 34-36 waist and I ordered a size 2. I spoke to the woman at new tribe and she said to get a size 2 because you can tighten it down to a 36” waist. Anyone my size have any experience with sizing?

Awesome, thanks for the advice. I have a new born so I’m not sleeping anyway. That’s why I’m asking saddle questions at 1:45am hahah

I'm a 36 waist and was equally torn on sizing. Aero suggested a 2. i have tried a 1 and a 2. I can wear either one. both are very comfy. I wear my saddle for long walks, so for that reason, i went with the size 1. less floppy while walking. i think you'll be OK with either size.

If you packed your saddle in would you have went with a size 2?

I would have been more inclined to get the two, yes. At a 36 waist, i see the two sizes pretty equal in my experience. However, saddles fit each of us differently.

I ordered a size 1. My waist is 33. It fits fine. My concern was hunting in the winter with heavy weight bids, cold here in NY. The size 1 was still good. I have only had 1 saddle so I can't compare to anything else. With a 36-36 waist I would have gone with a size 2. That should be fine for you especially if you have cold winters.

Thanks for the info, I’m in South East PA. It usually gets pretty cold here, not sure what happened this year haha. I had my worst year of hunting to date. It never stayed cold enough to get these deer moving like I’m use too.

I think you will be fine. I have the size 2 flex and am 5’11 with a 34-36ish waist and have zero issues with it.

I called aerohunter and she said the same thing. I think I would rather have the extra room. I’m really impressed with how well built they are.
