Any of you guys try sewing on a different camo. I was thinking of taking older predator camo clothing and sewing it on to change the pattern.

Just wondering, what didn't you like about it?
We know there are some color issues, we are addressing this. I am wondering specifically what you didn't like about it?

Thanks,
Boswell

It's just too dark for my liking. I like the open patterns. Also, if you have the power make the straps not black for future builds.

I agree...it's very easy for me to spot black straps on hang ons, and stack steps wrapped around a tree trunk from aways off.

I never understood why camo or brown is never used in stands or anything. I assume it's a price issue.

I figure deer see movement and shiny fabrics more than colour No solid colour because movement is more noticeable and I wish the Evo was a quiet fabric it is noisy when new

I have been thinking about the same thing. I haven't tried climbing with this yet because I just got my aerohunter a couple weeks ago, but I have a set of leafy ASAT camo that I slipped on over top of the saddle and it covered up the saddle pretty well and matched the rest of my pattern. Assuming the saddle is already adjusted, I don't see why it wouldn't work in the tree. Once I test it out I will let you guys know if there are any problems. If that doesn't work, I was thinking of getting a cheap ASAT camo tshirt for $20 and stitching it to the outside of the saddle like OP described.

We talked with the guys from Predator at the ATA show this year and I have some sample fabrics on the way. I am traveling at the moment but thinking they should be there when I get back on Monday. We are looking at softer quieter fabric for the outside while keeping the strong cordura on the inside. Currently I am working with some webbing that is "coyote" in color.

That would be pretty sweet. So far it's the only thing I dislike. I only used the saddle twice last season. Maybe you guys can consider a core program to an updated saddle or something

I would prefer a more compressible material to a different camo pattern. But that's just me... I have also never been busted while wearing my evo so color and camo pattern is a non-issue for me

I have had some hunters tell me the same thing about no need for a camo pattern as well. From a marketing standpoint I feel that a well known camo pattern that is proven to work would be desirable. Right now we use 1000D (denier) cordura which is stiffer and not as compressible. I can look at 500D cordura which is still strong but softer and will compress better. The camo material we will be getting samples of will be something softer and quieter.

What is a core program? I'm thinking that you mean a way to apply new fabric to an old Aero.

Don't get me wrong and aerohunter in a predator camo pattern would be sweet! But if I had to choose between the solid color fabric that is more compressible versus the 1000D Core Dura in a predator pattern I would go with the more compressible fabric every time.

I wonder if he's talking about a core charge exchange program like on batteries. A way to trade in your old saddle on an upgrade.

That must be it. There is nothing we would be able to do with an old Aero except to study the wear. We were lucky to be able to find a way to adapt the new seat to the first generation Aero. That being said, the new proto we are working with is so much less material that it will be more compressible and hit a better price point.

It would be nice if we could easily remove the leg straps with a buckle that will easily open. That way we can add or subtract clothing easily while in the tree. A lighter material would be great.

While your at the changes add a spot under the seat where we can add a fork like the guidos web. That would make it super comfortable. Or a kickstand which was described last fall

I was meaning to send yours in and get new fabric applied. Core was the wrong word. Being a mechanic I should've known better, lol. I never thought of the more compressible material, that would be nice.
