I’m a couple years into traditional now with a recurve and now a R/D longbow. One question I’ve had and not asked, what is the advantage or thought process behind the bows where the limbs come in on the back of the riser vs the front? Just curious. I’m sure I could google it and just haven’t yet.

55#@28”
Gold Tip Traditional 400’s cut to 28.5”
100gr insert w/ 125gr Steel Force two blade

It’s an inexpensive bow but nice for me. It shoots well and with my 27” inch draw it fits me pretty well. Short limbs I can maneuver around in the tree and the small handle fits well in my hand.

I’ve also got a late 60’s model Ben Pearson that belonged to my grandfather. This October will be 2 years since he passed and I’ll be taking that bow out for a few hunts in memory. I was able to kill a deer with it the weekend after his passing so I thought that was pretty special.

Now I done done it. Received this the other day, a Timberhawk strike. I’m drawn to something in the aesthetics of a one piece. Shoots great!

Probably my Silver Anniversary addition Black Widow 71lbs @ 31inches Carbon Express cx300 with weighted tubes and 190gr Intercepters for a total weight of 695gr!! Or I might end up with my 70lb Rogue with the same arrows I shoot both about the same so they are pretty interchangeable!! For some reason it says my pics are to large to load so sorry guys no eye candy!!

Welcome to the forum! Love the bows. I've been on a vintage bow kick recently and have been considering adding one to my collection.

Some believe they are very forgiving of form flaws. Could be true but a bow cannot correct form flaws. The same design goes into most r/d one piece hybrid longbows.
