Wondering if those of you who are one sticking with a shikar mini would mind posting a pic of their setup, etc. Thinking about going this route and curious to how others have set theirs up. If there is anything they would like to change about it, etc. Thanks for everyone's input.

Here is mine. Only thing different is I added an amsteel step aider to it. Works great for me and weighs #2 on the dot not including the OCB with squirrel steps.

Looks good. I have squirrel steps so that would be easy to do. Do you like the solo on the bottom? I'm half tempted to run just the shikar mini and still use a separate platform since the mini is so small by itself. Undecided at this point.

Yes I prefer it on the bottom. That way I can still use that step to prop a foot or something. Also, puts the squirrel steps above the platform for a more comfortable side step. The mini is a great stick for this application. I really like the all in one equipment personally but it would work either way.

How many steps are on your aider? I have a Shikar mini, but I haven’t got it ready for one sticking. need a solo scout for the shikar stick. I have one on a helium mini and one on a beast stick. Playing with different options....but need to get the Shikar done to try it out.

Quite the variety there! Lol. I use a 2 step aider now. An amsteel one from custom amsteel products.

Wanna sell one of those options? The hawk or the beast.

I know, variety right? So I put together the Hawk Mini with cam cleat, added a two step aider and really started to like it. I then began To see if I could build me a lighter version for one stick, so I found a Shikar mini. Its taking three weeks to get something from OOL so I opted to build a beast stick for one stick with a cam cleat. Been using that lately. But I keep looking at this tiny light weight Shikar mini and want to build it out very similar to yours. Trying to envision that thing holding me....and I don’t want a cumbersome five step aider. I think a two step would work fine.

As for selling one, I probably will at some point. I’m still assessing my setups. I want to have two complete setups to keep one possibly at another location and one here with me. But that may be overkill and I will likely get rid of one.

I haven't tried one stick with my minis yet. I run 2-3 minis and a 5 step movable aider then repel back down. Works well for me and is only 1-2 more lbs because of the extra sticks.

I originally had 3 minis I was running too. I don’t mind the weight at all it’s more the bulk/packing of multiple sticks for me. I was probably a little bit faster with multiple sticks going up but having to unpack them and get them ready to climb was annoying.

Isn’t there a hole in the bottom of the Shikar post to connect the aider?
Yes there is you could. Keeping it where it is on mine keeps it away from the tree and is easier in my opinion to get into it especially in the dark
