The EDP so far in the limited use in my yard is my favorite platform I have tried. I tried it out 4 trees a tiny 6” dia, about a 10” 15ish and a monster I could barely get the strap around. Rock solid on every single one. Zero flex. The boot knob things serve their purpose. I thought I was going to be cutting the handle off but I like it. It’s nice to push off of and doesn’t interfere with standing. It’s unbelievably rock solid compared to every platform I have tried. Perfect width. I always thought the predator was a bit narrow. Trophyline nailed the dimensions IMO.

I can’t think of a negative. It is a bit stiff folding but I would rather have tight over flopping around.

The worst part about it is trying to remove it from the tree!!

How does it fit into a pack? Wondering mostly if the black top step and bat wing on the post are very intrusive or want to gouge the inside of your bag up too much.

My EDP is due to deliver today. Looking forward to trying out.

If the hinging action remains tight you could back the lock nut off a half a turn on the hinge bolt/nut.

Fedex just dropped mine off, it's light for sure but @enkriss is right man is it TOUGH to fully open up. Looks like the plastic sleeve over the post is rubbing the insides making it a super tight fit. I'm sure it will loosen up a bit over time.

Did anyone get backpack strips with theirs? I didn't see them mentioned on the website but was just curious. I also didn't get a sticker :sob: :sob: :tearsofjoy:.

I'm excited to try it out on lunch though, it seems solid as heck!

Check where they taped the box between the 2 flaps of cardboard for packing slip and sticker.

so funny how mission did the opposite of tethrd... made a big lazy boy of a platform, then made more packable one
With 4 platforms between the two companies all being different sizes, there should be a size that everyone can find that suits them the best. I really like my predator but sometimes think that a little more width would be nice, but thought that the width of the predator xl & mission were a bit excessive. Now with the EDP filling the gap between the two predator sizes I may look into one of those to try out.

Roger that.. I got the predator (think it's the Gen II) and don't feel the need for anything bigger. I'm curious about the ring of steps but I won't be looking for an alternate platform.

Mine showed up. Seems to resolve the issues I had with the Predator. Plenty of time to decide between this and the Mission for next season.
