Does anyone have experience using an Ozonics unit in a saddle? Is it worth it or it is better to just use cover scent and play the wind?

I think it's really effective with blinds. Kind of crazy what you can get away with. That said I'll use it on preset treestands because it's not hard to bring along but almost never when setting up mobile, I just don't want another thing to deal with

I used to hunt exclusively out of ground blinds when I was in my old hunting club because we didn’t have trees that you could hang a stand in and I used an ozone machine every time I hunted. In an enclosed area it does help. I’ve had deer down wind of me many times and they never winded me. Now I hunt strictly out of lock ons and a saddle and I never use the ozone machine because I believe there is no way it works in an open area. If I gun hunt out of a shoot house or a ground blind, I run it

It definitely helps…. I don’t hunt without it.

After hunting 38 yrs, I feel I’ve tried most things but have come to the conclusion that being still and using good cover, playing the wind, and doing your homework scouting is all you need. Use your money for something else. Not saying it doesn’t work to some degree. Just think that the small details I stated work just as well and you don’t have to carry an extra item.

I got one this year. Had a couple of does pick me off up in the tree due to movement but haven't been busted due to scent since...yet...

I believe in ozone more than SpartanForge. There I said it.

I use it to descent my clothes. I have the hanging locker I bring to travel hunts to drywash nightly. I use a grow house at my home. I also have a boot dryer that uses ozone to de scent as well. I bet deer can smell ozone. But I can smell it naturally sometimes while hiking.

I thought the same thing for years…. I laughed at guys buying this thing when it first came out. But it works. Very skeptical of and scent elimination products. 99% are junk. But if you do all you listed , sometimes it’s still not enough. That’s where the ozonics come in. It helps fool the deers nose just enough to give you an opportunity. They might eventually figure out somethings not right and bail, but it’s too late.

My cousin built some units and gave me and my bud each one last year in KY. I didn’t bother with it the first three sits, but after getting winded each time, I used it. I swear it works! Quite frankly, I was blown away….I won’t go without it anymore.
Im sure it would be better effective in a ground blind etc.
My first experience seeing it in action, I didn’t have one. But my friend did and he was in a leaner about 25 yards away from me. Wind was coming through sort of a shoot, hitting him and his unit, then me, then the plot that had deer calmly eating in. They were dead down wind of us and never even gave us a sniff……that’s when I said give me one!

I’ve used one and probably still should.. I’ve had many many deer come in down wind of me calm as can be. Also have had deer bed within 30 yards with my scent blowing directly at them. I believe it works. I just dislike having so many things to pack and go as minimal as possible.

I can see using one to get rid of scents when you store your clothes, but in a blind or falling over you while you hunt is just not healthy. And if it’s hung somewhere other than above you in a tree, it’s like trying to stop a flood with a pool float.

I agree you don’t want to breathe it. If I smell it, I’m adjusting quickly! But I have also gotten rid of smoke smell in my truck with it. We had a small flood and it got rid of(6 months now) the mold smell in the room that flooded. I just had another wholly Molly moment Tuesday evening. 3 bucks and a doe walked 15-30 yards in front of me dead down wind and never smelled me.

You set up with the wind to your back?
