went to the range today to make sure my FIRE STICK was still good after the new makeup job......took three shots to get it dialed back to bull & then I put four more home.......wanted to see what my gun would do after getting it relatively hot or hotter then I should ever get it hunting for sure...continued right on shooting at my last target and would shoot one...get up from my seated position look thru the spotting scope then load one more shell sit back down and shoot again.....took about 8 minutes maybe less to fire 11 shots repositioning every time.....everything got hotter then it would hunting and ill take this all day & the main reason I got the 20" TAC heavy barrel then cut it to 16" for the suppressor application...the two furthest are 1" apart which isn't that impressive but ill take it for 11 shots @ 100 yards when I can cover all but those two holes with a dime......on a bad note I have shot these Remington 223 AccuTip 55 grain for 2 years with no problems and then today I had two that didn't fire so I will be contacting Remington to see what they say.........BANG BANG!!!!!! :sunglasses:

got up a couple trees today and made some stands & everything worked great.....while we were walking back to the truck my dog wiffed something & leaves the main trail for about 45 seconds then I whistle her back & she had a coyote follow her back to about 15 feet from the main trail then bolt as soon as it seen me & before I seen its complete body or could even react but I could hear it run away from us.....made a couple stands tonight and had a coyote warning bark me & my dog about 100 yards behind us right after we picked up our gear...........there is a lot of bow hunting pressure right now on this public land but I'm having a great time just using my Guidos just like I anticipated it should work......we also made a stand from the ground right before dark and had a 4 point buck walk out and to about 50 yards from me & my dog as well before he bolted while I tried to take a pic.....the very last stand tonight we ran across a skunk on the way back to the truck that I had to call her off of because she wasnt scared and neither was the lil skunk but it all worked out..had to get a couple pics of the STAR of the show in there as well..........BANG BANG!!!!!!!!!:sunglasses:

even though its a weekday there are still lots of campers/bow hunters & even parking lot squirrel hunters so I stayed out of the woods & went out today and found a few spots to night hunt........the first pic is looking north down this lane & on the left is a lake and I set the call up next to it in hopes something would come from the tall weeds at dark BUT we only heard beavers chewing wood the entire time and cranes going nuts at each other screeching...hahahahahahaha.....went to the next set (no pic) walked out and seen an eight point buck and as we walked away from him he walked right up to where we turned from him and stood there wild what deer do in the dark......used a diaphragm to try to howl up a couple coyotes and got howled back at but no eyes only howls about 200 yards off and never showed......on the way out the buck was still there and when we got about 75 yards from him there were two eight point bucks & I couldn't believe it......I snort wheezed them and my dog ran at them & they ran about 75 yards and stood there while we walked out......the last stand is the second pic looking north during day light & we started calling it at about 930 PM.....I set up just in front of the small corn stalks looking north 2 mph wind at my back and the call 80+ yards straight out in front of me in the middle of the clear.......it only took about 5 minutes and this coyote walked out from the right towards the call and I'm guessing about 80 yards.......he took about 5 steps and I let lead loose......hit him to far back & low because I was impatient and didnt let him stop while he hopped out into the open.........he ran a circle then ran 120+ yards thru the 4 foot tall grass u can see on each side of the clearing......took my dog about two minutes once we started into the weeds to find him & bay him up and I finished it......an impatient bad shot & no dog would have been no coyote BUT my SUPER GIRL made my mistake all work out..........BANG BANG!!!!!! :sunglasses:

we have seen deer coons opossums & even a bobcat.....nothin coming to the call though......did catch two coyotes standing in a field we were walking out to call last Wednesday night....they started to run so I took a 125 yard running shot but no go as the coyote stopped right after the shot & right before the tall weeds so I knew I missed....but now my dog is charging to the impact in the mud and sees the coyote but he didn't like all that and went into the weeds.......she ran out by where I shot and into the weeds but neither coyote was curious enough to came back which was to be expected after the shot ......snared this female this morning in one of the three snares I have out around the lake by the house....I had just made the snares & didn't paint them either so it took a bit for them to cool off.....I have three more I painted and have been cooling off in the yard laying in the grass ill put out in the next few days...made several more stands in my Guidos and I really like this thing it takes 10 minutes to set up but the view I get after is well worth the extra time........BINGO DINGO!!!!!
