I did also up grade an few bolts to grade 8 as well. Yeah its fun playing around with gear that's for sure .Looks like a slick setup there!!! I had some extra stealth strips hangin around so I threw them on today along with cobra wrapping the front and couple inches around front corners. Wrap is more cuz I like the look but it does stop noise of seat clanking against platform when collapsing. Gonna through some brown textured patio paint on mesh platform tmrw to stop squeak for wet boots too. After having every bolt off today think I’m gonna swap out hardware before season also stuff looks good for most part but $10 in a couple new grade 8 blots and new nylo nuts is cheap investment. My strap and buckle look good but they are 35yrs old so will be swapping that out to with a new cam buckle Strap. Still toying with idea of some kinda platform adjustment and some sort of stand off type thing for tree V. Fun tinkering again though!!!
Might need a new seat pretty soon too. My fabric has been sitting out in cold/hot/dry/wet barn unused for 15yrs. Seems to be holding up for now but new one in future I’m sure. Your replacements could be a different color with a little coloring and sink full of water. old school tie dyeNice mods to the windwalker. I have to get mine out do some practice shooting out of it soon with the saddle. I picked one up this spring from Treehopper. I still use a Loc on Lem I’ve had for years in a preset location. It’s still going strong but it uses a chain to attach. I upgraded the chain that came with it many moons ago and also dipped it in liquid rubber. I have extra seats I had the Amish sew up for me years ago too. The original was a tree bark pattern but the OG material wasn’t as tough. Not crazy about the light gray color but it’s never spooked anything in my experience.
The stand coming out of the bottom of the pack is money. If you get one you'll never look back.....I had kind of the same thought process. LWCG is a bit rich for me. Almost pulled the trigger on the Helo when it was like $204. I had actually came across the Loc On stand website a few years back and saw that they were out of business. So when Mark brought them back I was intrigued. I ordered one from him with the shoulder straps. I'm also thinking of getting the pack because I like that I could hang my pack up and drop the stand out of the bottom to make setting up easier. Just strap my sticks to the outside. I also like the retro aspect.
a really slick upgrade is a lone wolf strap and then join the 2 end loops with a climb rated (maillon rapide, etc) oval screw link
the strap on mine goes between the 2 posts and the plate that ties the posts together, all metal edges that might touch the strap are wrapped in gorilla duct tape and the bolts have nylon washers as spacers so the strap can't get into the bolt threads and also the strap isn't super pinched

I just ordered the pack. Just strap my Novix minis on the outside and it should be a nice setup.
I've been having issues with the app, I can't get anything to load or I would post a picture.
I removed the stock strap and installed 2 versa buttons on mine today.
It's quieter and even easier to hand with the normal trestand/stick strap.
I've seem this done several times. What I worry about is I believe the versa buttons are designed for opposed pressure, so it equals out on the bolt and plate. My concern is uneven side pressure will bend and weaken the bolt and potentially the plate behind it.
