So, I really want to try packing out a deer this year. I just haven't made myself do it yet. A few years ago I purchased the f1 mainframe from eberlestock to help carry heavy loads(when carrying in a climber and necessary gear). Since swapping to a saddle it has been in the back of my closet. I picked it back up the other day just ot see how it does and remind myself why purchased it in the first place and wow. It's so comfortable with a significant amount of weight on it. I put a friend on the back of it who was around 175 pounds and I walked a couple laps around my yard. Yes, it was heavy, but it was also very manageable. This got me to thinking, my biggest current complaint about my pack situation is how my current pack doesn't have an internal frame, or a waste belt, the F1 has both. I was wondering if anyone has attached a pack to their f1 and make it a hybrid meat hauler. It would be similar to a popup 28 or so where I could stick the meat between the frame and the pack..
curious if anyone has ever tried this. I will try to get a few pics later this evening.
