I’m gonna go out on a limb and say no. However, you do have a group. Search in Facebook “blood tracking dogs of Maryland”.any idea if any of these guys ever come up to Maryland?

Thanks Shane! I can also help locate a tracker for the Stafford/Spotsylvania/Fredericksburg/King George/Caroline areas. It’s that season again. Bumping for my fellow Virginians. If you don’t use Facebook but need the service reach out to me and I’ll jump on for you and put you in contact with a tracker in your area.
Yeah I just found out this year in Southwest West Virginia we have a local tracker named Blair Smyth - PM me for contact info because I don't remember where I found it. I communicated with him via text ahead of time to introduce myself and stored his contact info in my phone. He says his service is free, but I feel I should compensate his time and gas if I need to use him. I was just so happy to hear we had a local service like this.If had known about their services two years ago I wouldn’t have lost the largest buck I’ve ever shot.

Wow. I never would have come to that conclusion. Must have been bred to help out with sika deers.I thought the same thing. They were actually bred for hunting though.
IIRC they were originally bred to flush badgers and other burrowing critters.Wow. I never would have come to that conclusion. Must have been bred to help out with sika deers.
Yeah they were bred to go in holes. As for tracking deer with one, I hope you have some timeIIRC they were originally bred to flush badgers and other burrowing critters.
Would be the next dog I get for tracking. They are excellent.Wait.
A DACHSHUND!?!?!??!
this is an awesome service, the use of dogs to track wounded game should be legal in every state
edit: it seems in states like mine, wv, with poaching problems and a lack of trust in hunters that they do not allow this...it's a shame
Thanks for the heads up on this. Hope I don't need them but I joined the group and live in VA.
Is Amelia too far for you? Don’t need you just askingIf you’re in nova or an hour or so from Fredericksburg I can come out for you. If you’re out of my area I can get you a dog.
