Makes you wonder what could have happened. I hate to think someone would kill a man just to take a shotgun and a knife, but that’s the world these days I guess.

Yeah the situation was super strange. Maybe a fight over a deer or a hunting spot. It’s not exactly the most expansive public land especially during gun season. It’s not bad during bow season but gun season could be a circus.

Yeah it happened just up the road from my old house in Bath. The weird part is that my wife was home alone and she saw some guy on Upton rd walking north with two guns. I was up north deer hunting and she didn’t know about the murder yet. After she heard about it she reported what she saw because it was super odd and suspicious. No idea if that led to anything or not. I hope the case ends up on a true crime podcast or something, I’d love to hear more details on it. Cold cases fascinate me.

Seems like they busted the two suspects who allergy killed this hunter in literally my neck of the woods. I’ve bow hunted out at Rose Lake many times so this story hits very close to home for me. Hopefully the family can get some closure and some justice.

I can tell you from experience there is no such thing as closure. I carry not for animals attacking me but humans.

It's a wild world.

Local plant had a guy killed over an argument over a safety helmet.
Everybody has such a hair trigger these days. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if it was over something like “YOU TOOK MUH SPOT, IVE HUNTED HERE FOR 457 YEARS!” or “YOU SHOT MUH DEER!” Such a waste of energy if you ask me. Like I said though, I’d like to learn more details of the case as they emerge in trial and whatnot. So many possibilities.
