I also believe they're now trying to fully horizontally integrate the whole saddle market.... look at how much time and money packs sell for just on this site..... they introduced the FAS this year now this battle harness saddle system. Market saturation. They've been known for and actually criticized for some of their original super light almost "g strap" style original offerings in the Mantus and many many criticized how it was flimzy, felt like wearing tighty wighties and someone giving you a wedgy etc..... so now they're moving into beefier and more ridged systems. Why spend time and effort getting a pack from kifaru and then trying to figure out a saddle from aerohunter, and pouches from EWO..... Tethrd will provide all and anything a saddle hunter needs and more in one stop shopping online from early season through the late season. An amazon for saddle hunters.

Given the association folks now have with what "lock down" means.....weird name choice.

Does it have a hand sanitizer caddy hanging off the side?
I know they're the big bad wolf but I wouldn't go that far, "lock down" is a commonly used phrase during the rut..... as in, "That buck I've been watching all summer is now on lock down with the neighborhood does."

i know....but then again, the lock down phase of the rut kinda stinks too....you go from hero to zero in 1 week flat

I just wanted to add I have absolutely no interest in anything from Tethrd except their climbing sticks. I got them through a fluke trade on here but I’ll have to say now after using them on three sits this past season…. I’m glad I did. In my mind; however, they’re still the slick sales types of the saddle hunting world.

Love my Kifaru pack(s). Love my AH saddle. I have some pouches from TX5...the structured Tethrd haulers might could out compete those, but they're sewn onto the saddle, lol.

Still, I tip my cap that they're developing complete systems. That makes a lot of sense to me, even if they have't hit the nail on the head for my preferences.

For sure, it’s cool to see the progression of all these products.

I’m sure your buddy is way more knowledgeable than me. However, I could not say a saddle is the most comfortable after a test sit at the show. Being a gear nut I love everything at first. Then work through the rough spots later. It is extremely interesting to hear though.

I don’t have much experience saddle hunting yet but I can see why people may not like the pouches. I think they would be nice to use once you’re setup where you could have you phone on one side and snacks/whatever else in the other for faster access than reaching all around in your pack

Id really like to try it as it looks nice but a 400 dollar price tag is gonna be hard to swallow..thats almost catching up with a lwcg or beast stand. I have 180 tied up in my classic 2. Hopefully i find one used or these lottery tickets pay off!
