I have used it for them. It just works ok. As long as you don't turn it upside down they won't fall out. They work better for me once I just started putting them in a small accessory pouch over my shoulder.
 
Do you know if this belt would work for gorilla steps? Having a hard time seeing how the steps wouldn’t fall out. Would save me a ton of time and noise in spring setup though.
 
Curious what made u decide to keep it!
