Does your saddle have to have sewn in suspender loops to use those?I got these off Amazon and I really like them:
No, I attach the hooks to the straps on my pouches that I have attached to my saddle.Does your saddle have to have sewn in suspender loops to use those?
Ok…..add a harness to the new gear for 2024 thread, for me. Hooking my bridge to my pack strap helps some, but it is an area of improvement for my setup. Im Bout to get One. Just saw a video from @careyhamil and will probably get the Amazon harness.Just wanted to follow up on my CGM suspenders. They came in today and they’re better than the ones that come on the Lockdown. Very well made, as is everything from CGM. I used to think suspenders were crazy, but I won’t ever have a saddle without a set now. Big comfort difference especially when you’re carrying 40ft of rope and everything else.

That was me and you're exactly right. They work great and I can attach them anywhere on my saddle I want.I saw these mentioned on here and they seemed like they would be perfect and they are. Minimalistic and I can put layers under and over them and you don't even know you're wearing them.

For the front attachment, I like them - in the front.
On my saddle, there aren't any molle attachment points where I want the front attachments.
See pics for my solution to getting them to stay where I want them to stay. Works great.
Those are Molly specific elastic loops through some kind of wooden button wrapped around the front belt part of my XC Cruzr.
Simple elastic would have worked as well. I just had them left over from another project.
Both bought off amazon.
The only problem I've had with suspenders in any situation? When you layer stuff over them, you need to take those layers off to take a crap.
Agreed. But especially so when you have layers of clothing over suspenders.bowel movements are the bane of every piece of gear, I'm afraid
