I saw that pig while I was out there, he just looked too big to try and drag so I let him go. :D

Me to, I just caught him by the tail and wrestled him to the ground just to show him who was boss. He was just to big to eat. Lucky pig!

It is fun to get a pig that big for trophy’s sake... but god, don’t try to eat one that big.

I’ve never cooked one that big but have cleaned them. If they smell rank it really doesn’t matter how big they are. I use to hunt hogs in Florida with dogs a good bit. You could handle one like that and use gojo to wash your hands. Wash them again when you get home and when you lay down you can still smell it. It has to wear off. I’ve cooked 150 lb boars that would stink your house up just cooking in a crockpot. It will taste fine but if you breathe out of your nose while eating it you will smell it again. I think a lot of it had to do with them fighting the dogs and getting hot and worked up. I’ve killed several hogs in central Georgia without dogs that didn’t smell that bad but the bigger they got the stronger the smell.

Some stink and some don’t. I never found out why. I was on a hunt with my buddy that killed one around 400 lbs. It didn’t stink. Meat was good. You gonna know if it’s bad when you walk up to it. It ain’t washing off. Just leave it for the coyotes.

This has been my experience over the past couple years as well. When they stink, you know it. There's no doubt.
