Looking for a bridge for my Sit&Drag. Was going to go with Amsteel closed on both ends but thinking I want to be able to adjust the length of my bridge. Does anyone have anything laying around they want to sale? Asking all the experts out there would you use Amsteel or what. Thanks.

You could make an Amsteel whoopie sling. It's actually easier to make than a fixed bridge.

I agree with G2.
Use an amsteel Whoopie sling for a season or two. If you find you always end up at the same length, do a fixed amsteel.
G2 made me a fixed amsteel bridge at saddlepalooza as a “how to” session.

Dutchware sells whoopie slings but the biggest dia is 1/8. That’s the biggest I could find already made on hammock sites.

Did you watch my video or any other splicing videos? A 5 year old can do it. It's not hard at all. You could make an adjustable bridge in less than 15 minutes.

Contact Dutch and tell him you want one made from 1/4". He'll do it. You need a 3" fixed loop, a 12" bury, and a max length of 35".

Ok, with an adjustable bridge, would you use 2 carabiners? I like the idea of being able to remove the bridge.
Still playing with my kestrel to figure out what I like. If I could use 1/4" am steel and make a whoopie sling with fixed loop and adjustable loop, I should be able to just hook each loop to my saddle with a biner. Then adjust as needed for length.

Still use the original tree tether, but with a ropeman 1 instead of Prussic or Blake's hitch.

Sound doable?
