    Tree Risk Assessing

What gets me is when I see a tree downed with the roots that looks healthy, I think wow, I would have set up in that tree. What is even worse is seeing a downed tree that I hunted out of for years. I always keep a heads up in the woods both when walking in and out and while set up.

Pacseat mods: Putting the 'pack' in Pacseat, & other things

They are just regular solid rubber, I wouldn’t call them heavy. I have been using the seat in the woods for target practice and those feet work great. With those wide bottoms I don’t have to swing the rear leg bar to the top.

Pacseat mods: Putting the 'pack' in Pacseat, & other things

I got the air seat from Amazon today but the Hazmore seat seems to be more comfortable. The Hazmore seat is a bit Unique in that it’s not very thick and it’s very light, plus the covering is very soft and quiet. I have used one on my Summit climbers for years, I might have to buy a dedicated...

Pacseat mods: Putting the 'pack' in Pacseat, & other things

It worked out pretty good. I took the Lone Wolf Custom Gear shoulder harness and waist belt off my Millennium chair and converted that on to the pac seat, it carries much better and a bit higher. I then changed the rubber cane bottoms with a pair of wide bottoms that are used when using a cane...

Pacseat mods: Putting the 'pack' in Pacseat, & other things

Shouldn’t have been. I’ll try again. Yep, it says too large. Seeing all of the other pics on this thread I’m not sure why mine are too large.

Pacseat mods: Putting the 'pack' in Pacseat, & other things

I just got mine and replace the bottoms with something that won’t sink into soft dirt. I tried to post a picture but couldn’t get one to post.

That would be my worry, tree roots. That is the reason many seats don’t work for me where I hunt, the tree roots stick up out of the ground too high.

I ordered a pac seat and found this thread. Great information here.

    Entry level traditional bow

I started out with a Sage bow and even now believe it lacks nothing. There are other great starter bows mentioned that have a great track record. If I knew how cheap it was to get into traditional archery years ago I would have done it a long time ago.

    Saddle kits (new guy)

I don’t have any issue hanging in a rock climbing harness.

    Saddle kits (new guy)

Another reason I am looking at a saddle is due to spine issues I can’t carry treestands in, I have to cart them in, so total weight is an issue for me. My hopes are that I can get set up with a light enough weight with a saddle that I can get in a tree without having to use a cart. I hang and...

    Saddle kits (new guy)

At 5.4 lbs without the strap and buckle that’s weighty.

    Saddle kits (new guy)

I just seen that and it would take care of that, I also like the larger platform.
