A bit more on the linemans belt and tree strap. https://www.facebook.com/Aerohunter.us/

    Aero Hunter Kestrel Overview

Very nice overview. I was glad to see that everything you mentioned that needed improved is already under way. I am really happy about making the linemans belt adjustable with one hand as that was a weakness in the system. Very simple......no ropeman needed.

The new aero hunter mesh kestrel

Yes, the D belt is farther forward, leg straps are a bit longer so they do not rest directly under the eye straps, molle gaps have slightly more room. In addition, we will be making a small adjustment to the linemans belt which makes it adjustable with one hand. Both the cordura and mesh...

    What to purchase.........

Good point. We have 35 years experience making saddles and serving the climbing industry. We are always looking to innovate and think outside the box. The Kestrel may not be for everyone but it was designed by a business that already knew what they were doing with the input and testing by...

    Kestrel shipping

I'm not sure what to make of your comment. It sounds like a threat and I feel like it should be reported but I will wait to see if I misunderstood you.

    Kestrel shipping

I believe that Debbie checked with them. I am not sure at this time what the deal breaker was but it may have been 3x the cost of the ISC buckle. At the quantity we need that won't cut it. Thanks for looking.

Not that easy. Hard to find rated buckles in Merica. Manufacturing is tough.......but somebody has to do it :)

    Sit drag setup

They don't need to be as those guys are up there moving around and working. Bending, reaching, cutting. I learned that for them that a comfortable sit is important but they also need to be comfortable while doing their jobs. That being said we shoot for the best comfort in all our designs.

Learned a lot in my 1st sit in my sit drag

I don't know much about Amsteel. I was just making a point that maybe was already apparent. To make the Schwabisch hitch like in the picture it works best with a spliced eye at each end of the cord or you have to create 2 eyes by making knots which are bulkier.

    New bridge

A sewn eye needs to be able to pass a drop test. Rated webbing, industrial strength thread and proven sewing patterns is what makes that happen.

Learned a lot in my 1st sit in my sit drag

That hitch works best with 2 spliced eyes. If you use cord without them you will have to make 2 figure 8 on a bight and that gets bulky.

Bye bye climbing sticks!!! Hello SRT!!!

Yep! I have used a 12oz shot pouch on a tree wet, with moss and tried everything to get it to drop. Finally just had to pull it and start over with a 14oz. Sucks when you finally got the spot you wanted 100 ft up. Probably not so bad for 20-30 ft. although I am better at higher distances than...

    Stirrup Climb good setup!

I'm talking about a single rope choked off and using a hitch to climb it. No need to double.

    Stirrup Climb good setup!

Sounds like an easy lob with out a throw bag. I think most who would climb rope would be best to use a preset line anyway.

    Stirrup Climb good setup!

So I see that you are climbing the tree and not the rope. There is my dis-connect. Looks hard.
