    Sterling Oplux Sewn Eye

I got it done a couple of years ago, so I can't remember exactly but I think it was within a few bucks of a sewn eye. Nothing significant enough to worry about.[emoji106] Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

Not a problem..I've got several items that I have yet to use during the last couple of season. Might as well make something useful! LOL Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

LOL...can't argue with that statement. I'm not a big risk taker but I do feel very confident in the splice. Just showing you guys a spliced eye and that it can be done. If you don't want to get one...don't get one. Take a look at the picture I posted of the "SWL" on the sewn eye from...

Here's a picture of the Oplux sewn eye that I got from Sterling originally. I had plenty of left over rope so I sent it off to knot and rope to make up a lighter weight lineman's rope and a tether. Used them all season long and everything has been perfect![emoji106]

    Sterling Oplux Sewn Eye

Hum...well I've used it all season long and it's as tight as it was the day we got it back from knot and rope. That's my year long experience so take it for what it's worth. [emoji106] Oh...one more thing. We called Wespur first and they said they would sew it but before they will do a spliced...

I don't remember exactly but I'm thinking $25-30. Around $5-8 more expensive than a sewn eye. Just give them a quick call and they can tell you.

    Sterling Oplux Sewn Eye

I'm not sure if they sell it. My buddy and I contacted them and mailed our ropes to them last September. We had them back within a couple of weeks or less. I don't recall the exact turnaround time but it was quick and we were happy with their service. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

www.knotandrope.com also does sewn eyes but I do know that spliced eyes are inherently stronger. I'm sure either is plenty safe as long as it's done correctly. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

What color light do you use going to your stand

Nope...sound and smell with or without any light is what spooks deer. This is based on 25+ years of experience. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

    Arkansas saddle meet up update

Very cool and thanks for sharing. This will be my 3rd year to use the saddle exclusively. I sure wish I could've been there. I will try to catch you guys next year maybe. Good luck this upcoming season! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
