Lineman's Belt.
I've refashioned the failed belt with new webbing and a couple changes. The 2" belt now can slide independently of the back pice and the section for attaching the rope around the tree has been crafted out of 1" tubular webbing. Stiches with expanded gear loops and the ends sewn into eyes with... -

So I did a little testing on my belt.... I found a nice piece of 12" pipe and a cutting guide/elevator. It weighed in about 250 lbs total. I ran 4 tests. My first 2 tests where for the linemans belt portion. The first test I used basic rope and it failed. Second test, I used proper climbing rope... -

Completely agree and have built a Lineman's Belt and used a completely different set up along with a Cobra Buckle for fall arrest. -

Platform Brainstorm
This would be relatively cheap and easy. Especially if you have a buddy that can weld. Even thin wall steel wouldn't be all that heavy. You'd have 6 squares per foot to play with. So a 5' piece of 2"box tube can't be that expensive and you've have 30 squares to play with. Sent from my SM-G900W8...- Chad

Platform Brainstorm

Lineman's Belt.
Nearing the end of this project, I think. The 2" foam I had in the Lineman's belt was too much. So I've pulled that out completely. It's pretty comfy as is but I'll be looking for an old camping mat to try. The 2" on the seat was great. I do have to rework the housing for said foam to ensure it... -

Lineman's Belt.
I did it this way so that I wouldn't have to fish my legs through any loops. Simply put the belt on like any belt and pull up thigh wrap for connection. That way any walking/climbing wouldn't be inhibited. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk -
