I have a work horse on order and was looking for the videos on how to assemble it. Looks like @Red Beard videos are not available. Any know where I can find more info on this? Thanks!

    Binocular chest pack

Depending on your climbing system, it may get in the way going up and down. Especially if you have the pocket in front for the rangefinder. I have AGC Vortex version and love it. But, I always debate whether to bring it or not especially in early season when all the leaves are up. I don’t have...

Truck camping: What do you use for heat at night as the seasons gets later?

Go with a second sleeping bag or quilt overtop of the bag you have. Keep your head warm, hot water bottle or hand warmers to keep your feet warm. External heater is a luxury, but what if something goes wrong with it? You would be in for a miserable night and may need to cut your trip short...

    New from Minnesota

Yes, the saddle is much easier to pack in. I even started putting the harness on at the car before I leave so I don’t have to wrestle with that at the tree. Here’s my bike setup. I have been experimenting with different ways to carry the gear in and am now using the tree steps which make it...

MN here also. I started saddle hunting last fall with a sit-drag and hunt with a bike as well. Live in the big city now, but am currently buying a house and small property out in Corcoran. I’d be happy to meet up with you this summer sometime after we get settled into our new house. Sent...

    saddle compatible bino harness

You do have to be careful with it when climbing up the tree. It seems to catch on stuff on the way up. But that would be true with any of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    saddle compatible bino harness

I have an AGC Kodak Cub and it works great in the saddle. However, towards the end of the season I was questioning why I had binoculars with me. I was really only using them for fun to look at other wildlife. LOL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Carabiners, what to look for.

1 kN is about 225 lbs. All of my locking type are in the 24-25kN range. I do use some wire gate type that I think are 18kN. Because you won't be falling very far, you won't need to have a super high rating, but it is nice to have the piece of mind of a locking type. Sent from my iPhone...
