Whats up with the 'Sladder Climbing system"?

I switched over to the sladder and repelling down last year, mid season. I really like the system. I always thought that messing with 40' of rope would be a pain in the rear. It's really not and only takes a few minutes to pack everything up. The safety and speed of rappelling down can't be...

Whats up with the 'Sladder Climbing system"?

I made the switch from one sticks and a 3 step movable aider to the sladder mid season last year. I also started rappelling out of the tree. I am very happy with my new system. The weight of the two methods is about equal, but i eliminated all of the metal and bark scraping from setting the...

Would you trust 1/8 Amsteel to hang your platform or stand?

Maybe, but I'm sure the larger rope size allows the prussic on the hang free rope to grab much better.

Would you trust 1/8 Amsteel to hang your platform or stand?

I would use a fully burried 1/8" amsteel rope with the hang free prussic tender on it. I made some of these to replace the amsteel daisy chain ropes i had been using.

    Trophyline Hyperlite Series!!!

I think I'll stay with the One sticks. Nothing compares to the dynaloc attachment method. The stand offs on the trophy line stick also look like they don't offer much contact with the tree unless it's about 6" in diameter.

    Best 3 step moveable aider

I'm not sure why you are set on amsteel, but the Backwoods mobile gear multi step aiders are hard to beat and offer multiple attachment methods. They are also about as lightweight as amsteel.

    XOP Orbit ROS

How long was the strap that came with them? You could also use a lighter duty ratchet strap to cut weight. Even the lightweight ratchet straps have a 500lb WLL witch is still a 150 plus pounds more than the EWO OCB.

Tethrd One Stick Gen 3's - Season review so far

I am a recent convert to the one sticks. The sticks I used previously were the original lone wolf 32" stick. I added the 3 step GC-1 aider and use 3 one sticks and I can get higher than 4 full length sticks with a 17" cable aider on the bottom stick. I reduced my load by 5 3/4 lbs. The one...

OG Lone Wolf sticks to Poor Man Beast’s

How much was the weight reduced over the full length sticks?

    XOP Orbit ROS

They look pretty well made, the step that folds down wasn't sloppy lose. The actual step is around 3/8" thick. I use a JX3 so I'm not really worried about standing on them for long periods of time. I just want the compactness of a folding step in a lightweight package. They also very stable when...

    XOP Orbit ROS

They are in stock on the website right now,but they only come with 3 steps and a ratchet strap. You can't buy individual steps.

    XOP Orbit ROS

I saw the new Orbit steps at the Iowa Deer classic this weekend. I really like them. They seemed super solid on the pole they had them mounted on. They didn't have any stock with them available for purchase. I also mentioned to them that you need at least 4 steps, I prefer 5 for a ring of steps...

    Anytree Outdoors

It looks like a tremendous amount of messing around. I couldn't imagine going up a tree in the dark with this.
