    Hand held release

It may be my draw length, string angle, finger length or a combination of the three but knuckles touching my jawbone causes too much face pressure on the string for my liking. I’m hopeful the bowmar nose button with satisfy my brain so I can focus on breaking the shot and continuing my follow...

    Hand held release

I’m using a nock2it with only two fingers, and keeping my jawbone between them. I’m thinking that I may be moving my head forwards or back depending on the shot when anchoring. I guess I’m used to having a solid place to anchor (knuckle to jawbone).

    Hand held release

I switched from a wrist rocket release to a thumb release this spring and have been shooting a ton, getting great groups out to 60 yards but opening quite a bit after that. I’m pretty sure that my only real anchors now, are my nose to the string and lining up the sight housing up in my peep...

    Paper tuning question

I’ve always tried to make sure that I put myself in the best position given the opportunity, when I have days off during the week I tend to get up early to take care of the “honey do list” and sling arrows till she gets off work and adds to the list. I don’t want to make a bad shot because my...

    Paper tuning question

The fever is real, wouldn’t be my first time making a bad shot and probably won’t be my last. But I do shoot a lot of 3D and generally do enjoy shooting for fun and want to be the best I can.

    Paper tuning question

I don’t shoot more than one arrow at the same place under 40 yards. Arrows are expensive haha. I would guess quarter sized at 20, 90% of the time

    Paper tuning question

Being the stickler I am and having a little bit of an obsession with accuracy, I just want to make sure the arrow isn’t correcting itself in flight and losing efficiency. I check my pins and marks every time I shoot, but spend most of my time shooting at 60+ yards to make close shots easy.

    Paper tuning question

The shop I go to always has me paper tune at about 5ft and that’s it, and I’ve seen a lot of guys online talk about walk back tuning. I picked up my new Mathews today and since there was only one bow tech (the owner) he let me set my bow up while he helped the hoard of guys wanting string and...

What bow is everyone shooting this year?

New vxr 31.5, if it shows up in time. Ordered it almost 2 months ago. If not, I’ll be Taking my elite energy 35 that I use for 3D.

    Hunting different states

To be honest, any state with a reputation of solid deer is a bucket list state. I just wish I had this drive in my early 20’s when I had the resources and didn’t have a family that would be left behind for a month at a time.
