    First hunt in a saddle

Yesterday was my first time in my saddle. The words of wisdom... "Practice first!!" doesn't apply to me.... I mean, how hard can it be??!!! Well.... I'm an ass. I modified my original LW sticks with double steps and didn't know how they'd take my weight. (big fat guy) That actually held me up...

    Another fat guy question

I used a milling machine and notched them. I feel much better, thanks for the advice.

    Another fat guy question

I have the original Lone Wolf climbing sticks and swapped out the single steps for double steps. When I step on the first step (also bolted to the cleat) the step rotates a tad till it hits the square 1" tubing. It's like the machined 1" grove tolerance is too large for the stick. The question...

They are very knowledgeable about deer habits and how they move. If you can look at a topo/satellite...

    Treehopper's new "Ultimate" saddle?

Has anyone seen this saddle yet? I talked to Mark yesterday, having issues with my saddle.... it's too big!!! Anyways, he said he is sending me 2 saddles to try. The new "Ultimate" and a smaller recon. From what Mark described, the ultimate will be a mesh style saddle. Just wanted to know if...

    Saddling Big/Heavy guy

another "Big guy" question... been thinking about using a ropeman 1 on my tether with the prussic as a back up. Do you thing the weigh of 290lbs on a ropeman 1 would dig into the tether too much, with that kind of weight?

    Big high five to Wdarby

I met up with a saddlehunter member, Wdarby today. Will was top notch in explaining what he uses and how he uses it. Letting me sit in his saddle was just what I needed to confirm what I was hoping for. He answered all my questions and even schooled me on things like 1 stick climbing. Again...
