    help me pick a reticle for deer

    What ya shooting? If it is a fairly flat trajectory bullet I would just use the standard duplex reticle. Sight in at 150, then slightly hold hi/lo depending on ranged distance/bullet drop. Keeps it simple and needs less thinking when you all jacked up because a bruiser is in view.

    Crispi Nevada GTX Uninsulated with alpaca socks year round Central IL. If it gets down to low 20s or less and I will be staying for a while, arctic shield covers might be used. Arctic shield covers get replaced with wiggys mukluks for the nastiest of sits.

    Yes - Muzzy Trocar HB 100g. Usually get complete pass through. Have gone through shoulders no problem. Farthest was ~47 yards with half arrow hanging out exit. Midwest deer. No idea what total arrow weight is. I just put them on and shoot.
