Rod Jenkins, Joel Turner, or Tom Clum?

I have purchased both Solid Archery Mechanics (Tom) and Roots (Rod & Jimmy), and listened to about every podcast joel has ever been on, but I have not purchased the class. The 3 focus on different things, but they all overlap and honestly I do not think any of the teaching between the 3...

First sit in my 2 panel / tactisaddle hybrid

a couple things that i think are an improvement. - as compared to just one larger seat, you can lay it out so that nothing goes over your hip bone. - I never liked having to run the belt portion of a saddle lower than my actual waist to keep it from riding up. You could definitely make a...

First sit in my 2 panel / tactisaddle hybrid

Thanks. I’ve had the general idea in my head for quite a while, just finally got around to it. When I saw the latitude I almost just bought it, but wanted to try with just the belt instead of the second panel. the bridge is oplux, but not adjustable (figure 8s). That one pic was just taken...

First sit in my 2 panel / tactisaddle hybrid

I've been hunting out of a kestrel since it first came out. Overall it wasn't bad, but I felt it was heavy and I had some hip pinch that was more annoying than anything. I ran a very low tether around the base of my neck and it worked well for half day sits. I had to run the belt well below...

    Latitude Outdoors Method Saddle

Design wise I think this is closer to a tactisaddle with a bigger surface area for the seat and belt than some of the other saddles it’s being compared to. I like the metal less option. This is honestly the first new design that makes me think about upgrading from my kestral

    OOAL Sticks

Given all the machine work I’m sure these are going to be pricey. But they really check the box for what I’m looking for.

    Ridge Runner + ROS?

I have one ameristep on my RR strap and it works great. I find I need it when set up in leaning trees just to keep balance when moving around.

    Madrock safe guard

The lifeguard is a belay device. It springs open so you can feed line for belay. Hence the concern when SRT if you accidentally remove your weight from the climbing line it will spring open. It seems like arborists have been using the gri gri (which is essentially the same thing) to SRT, but...

    Madrock safeguard rope

I leave it attached. But coil it up and place it in my bag. In rare circumstances, I will remove and re-attach in a better location for the rappel.

    Madrock safeguard rope

I switch ropes for a variety of reasons. But primarily bc where I got my climbing line is not necessarily where I need my tether. I also just prefer a distel hitch and tender. I attach the bottom of my climbing line to my backpack, pull it up, and stow it all together.

    Ditch the Ropeman

I still need to shorten the tag ends on this distel hitch

    Ditch the Ropeman

Agreed. I was all ready to tape mine up to quiet them down. But after the first use it was apparent that it wasn’t needed.
