    weld the bottom stand off to the vertical than it will also be the stop for the platform .than you don't need the square stop under the platform.

    mount the upper stop to the vertical post after you turn it on edge and it will let the platform fold and still stop the tail of the platform at 90 degrees have fun I use the versa button with lone wolf stick straps

    I have made three of them almost like the pic , loose the bottom stop, turn the upper stop on edge. Mine are all steel and the platform is 3/4 16 gauge tubing.

    I get the same thing happening. I will loosen the shoulder straps . Warmer temps seem to be the problem. Hope you get it fixed.
