    I bring a headlamp just incase but try not to use it I prefer the cover of darkness when I enter and exit the woods. I also have only been hunting a few years but was never uncomfortable in the woods at night . Until one night in total darkness Im just finishing up putting my pack togeather...

    Scent control products

    People have mentioned spraying or scrubbing rubber boots but I thought the rubber boots remain scent free and connot retain a scent at all? Am I wrong on this? Its one of the main two reasons I keep buying rubber boots.

    Think just about everyone including myself would recommend an Ernies platform. As far as sticks go theres alot of options I personally dont like staggering steps and would probably go with muddy pro or hawk helium I'm currently using the stepp ladder system from wild edge Inc and I like them...

    XOP platform w/ versa button + cam buckle?

    Im using Ernies platform with the stepp knot it works great I and can apply decent side pressure without any give in the platform. I did have the same adjusting issue with the original rope set up
