    Found a rock

My area had some small furnaces during colonial times along with more industrial ones. It could have been a single use furnace to supply enough iron and steel till better could be traded for.

    Found a rock

Does your area have any historic iron smelting setups? Looks a lot like slag from a decent size bloomery furnace.

    Hunting Large Rivers

No pawpaws in my local area that I can get access too. I believe the deer are running an old road to one of the old brick yards for their middle trail.

    Hunting Large Rivers

There are a couple spots between Weirton and Wellsburg that have oaks and such but the area north was pretty much clear cut for mining, the brick furnaces and the potterys.

    Hunting Large Rivers

The area I am looking at is very much a large funnel down to the river. There is a large ridge that is probably 75-80 yards above the river and has several steps from the top where there is a road til you get to the bank. I don’t think there are any oaks just mostly maple and sycamore trees.

    Hunting Large Rivers

I am used to hunting farmland, Appalachian foothills and mountains. I live roughly a 2-5 minute walk from the Ohio River. I am always see does while fishing or driving and am thinking about maybe throwing up a couple presets that I can access by canoe or jon boat. Never really hunted this type...

    Rope Climbing Question

Ok thanks I have been watching videos on it and I couldn’t tell how they stayed tied off. I will probably try it both ways just to see which I prefer.

    Rope Climbing Question

Do you just stay hooked up to your ropes or do you tether to the tree and wrap up till you are ready to descend?

Before they reopened the last time I went some dude from Pittsburgh stacked old books on the bench and shot them under the pavilion. I quit going after that. Did you have the younger or older dude?

It is now they had it closed for a while because of idiots shooting parts of the pavilion and someone shot over the hill with a full auto and hit a house. I am really glad they have range masters there now.
