Issues with hip vent zippers in pants or base layers?

Looking at upgrading some clothing this year and one thing that I really want is hip/leg vents in pants and possibly base/mid layer (e.g. SG full zip helio bottoms) as well. I'm concerned about the zipper causing pressure point where the bottom strap of the saddle would cross it. The helio bottoms zipper comes forward more so I don't think those would be an issue, but how about others? Anybody with some experience speak towards this? Thanks.

I think it will be a personal thing. Which saddle, how it fits you, and where any sort of hardware or lump lays in your clothing.
I experience hip discomfort from the tiny little pocket rivets that some of my pants have. And it's worse during warm weather when I'm wearing fewer base layers. Short sits aren't too bad but for an 11 hour hang, I've found that any sort of lump that lays directly between my hip bone and a saddle strap will eventually become uncomfortable.

I have some Rivers West bibs with zippers on the inside thighs and they cause no issues in the saddle and are a great feature.

Ventilation >>>>>>> than BS "breathable" membranes that hardly breath and then fail and you get wet to boot

It's been tested and almost all moist air escapes via "big holes" (arms, bottom, pit zips, hood) instead of the tiny holes in the membrane.

I have worn Asio midweight pants and bibs with zippers on the outside of the legs and had no issues while wearing my Latitude Method 2 saddle.

I don't like the zip off long johns. I can feel the seams, and it's not like it's painful or anything, but it annoys me But I'm super picky about that sort of stuff. I don't have any pants with hip vents. Guess I should try them but seems kinda pointless to me. I don't have overheating and sweating issues in that particular region personally.

I have First Lite corrugate foundry pants with hip zips, I use them almost every time I hunt in them for the walk in or out. Such a great feature
