    Platform size?

I've run the predator for 4 years now, and it gets the job done. I have had quite a few times over the years where I wished the body of the platform was about 1"-2" wider when I had to turn my back to the tree for a shot to my weakside/backside. I am looking into trying out something different...

any new, super light platforms big enough to stand and turn on?

I can turn around on the Predator platform with size 12 boots. It's not as easy as it would be on a larger platform, but it's doable. That being said, I am looking at the new predator v and latitude profile because they have the angled front. Will some folks hurry up and get some video reviews...

    Latitude New Profile Platform

I have been thinking about replacing my predator platform and this one has peaked my interest. I would have been interest in the new predator v, but I want something just a tad wider than what it is.

    Latitude Lonestar question?

it's 14" tall if you don't account for the 1" in height that the webbing channel for the rope belt adds since that part isn't bearing any load while in use.

    Latitude Lonestar question?

Got my lonestar on friday and sat a few short times in it to test it out. My initial thoughts are: 1. it is a huge step up in comfort from my Tethrd Phantom. Your weight is distributed across all of the material rather than the majority of it on a 2" top/bottom webbing. 2. it is stiff, which...

2023: Tethrd Ultralock Saddle (Formerly, the LockDown)

If they kept things modular, and offered this new saddle without the pouches then people would just be able to transfer their current dump/roll pouches from their current saddle to the lockdown. This way they get to charge more $ by not giving the consumer the choice. I am looking forward to...

    Sitka stratus bib alternative?

for many years I have used my rain bibs as an extra layer for when pants and thermals are not quite enough. The advantage is that they roll up and pack nice, windproof, and waterproof if it happens to rain. I feel like they get me an extra 10deg of temp drop before I break out the insulated bibs...

    Tethrd One Sticks Gen 2

I have not bought these, but I would like to know the root cause just like everyone else. Here is a few items that I thought of: - The manufacturer in china may have received a bad batch of raw material(aluminum) that was not up to spec like what was used on the gen1 sticks. -I would be...

Singer 201 acquired - need info

I just got a 1955 singer 201 for free. It works, came with 1 bobbin, and I already had size 14-18 needles that fit it. My question is what is the largest size thread and needle can this thing take? I plan to use it to make a saddle.

    Predator or Seeker

it really depends on several factors. The main one is how comfortable you feel using a smaller vs. larger platform. I wear a size 12 boot and have used the predator for 2 seasons now, and it is fine. There are times where I wished the predator was about 2in wider, but not any deeper off the...

    New Saddle Hunter from Missouri

@RandomHero18 I hunt that part of the state also. Make sure to get plenty of practice in with the saddle before hunting with it. There are lots of ways to do things and its best to develop a routine to make yourself more efficient when actually hunting.

Rappelling rope & one stick length?

the ping I am talking about is sound of resonance/vibration in the metal when you tap something against the standoff.

Rappelling rope & one stick length?

I have noticed that the standoffs have a little bit of ping to them when they touch stuff. Has anyone tried to add shrink tube over the standoffs to silence them?

    No Madrock til August?

For the time being I am practicing with using my tether to climb, then switching to my rappel rope with a munter or super munter hitch hooked up to a carabiner with a prussik knot clipped into my linemans loop.

If you were going to order a ultimate one stick from EWO. You would order _ _ _

I went with a 15" ultralight stick with a cam cleat, doublestep on top, slotted doublestep on bottom and I sewed up my own 16" 3 step aider. I will be using this in conjunction with my predator platform. I personally wouldn't want a platform smaller than the predator so I don't think I would...

    Higher-end stick comparison

Here are a few others to consider, EWO ultralight sticks with several lengths to choose from, Novix is coming out with a doublestep version of their mini sticks soon, catalyst outdoors is supposed to be releasing a new version of their carbon pro stick as well.

Tethrd One sticks on sale but out of stock

There is a pin/rivet on the back of the tube that helps secure the dynalock tab. I would also imagine that it is glued like the step is. I have stood on one and was not thrilled with the foot room, but several other features of them. Are they the holy grail of sticks: no, but with a few...

Rappelling rope & one stick length?

my EWO order came in a few days ago and I just finished up the aider tonight. Can't wait to test it out. I went with the 15" ultralight stick but ordered the Schaefer cam cleat from a different site. The aider is tubular webbing with 3 steps at 16".
