    First hunt in the guidos...

I found tighten down the shoulder straps to be a must before the climb up or down. I rarely ever use the leg straps anymore. The only time I notice the tail is when using an aider. I love the web for all day sits or when the weather turns cold. During warm weather I use my Kestrel. I agree the...

    JX3 hybrid Pros and cons?

I have a kestrel and a Guido's web. Basically JX3 inspiration. I can say for the early season and 4 hourish sits the Kestrel is great. But for all day sits or cold weather nothing beats the web. Or I am sure the JX3.

    shifting

Well I have both. I have a Amsteel bridge on my Guido's and the stock rope bridge on my Kestrel. I do a combination of leaning and sitting both. I want to convert both setups to Amsteel but thought I would give it a try on my Guido's first. The issue is the same with both, it seems like I really...

    Feeling defeated

Not necessarily scared in the saddle, just not 100% confident yet. I think I was a little out of my element, different weapon and standing on tiny platform. I can honestly say I did not practice either scenarios, I was always in the saddle when I practiced shooting a bow. Plus my brain was...

    Feeling defeated

Need some advice, feeling bad because I blew it big time. Hurt my arm last week so it was difficult to pull the bow back, so I borrow my son in laws crossbow. Seemed like the logical thing to do. My tree choosing logic is pick a big tree because I am a little on the plump side and just nervous...

I am a sitter. Good thought Nutterbuster I was sitting the bottom a slight leaner. I will try lowering the tether next time I am in that tree. Tim

    Frustrating Day

Tether height was just above my head, same as my other sits. Side adjustments under thighs were all the way out. Have not yet needed to adjust them. Like I said it was just the numb feeling in my legs, I don't remember any pain or discomfort prior to the numb sensation. I am thinking maybe the...

    Frustrating Day

Well I have sat in my Kestrel several times, but yesterday was just terrible. It started with having issues putting up "WE" steps. Every step moved when I stepped on them. Don't know if it was the type tree I picked or what. Smooth bark vs oaks in the past. Because of all the the issue I had...

    Who uses Guido's web?

Hunted all last season out of the web. Comfort was hard to beat, and it was hot early season. But I fell a sleep a few times while I was suppose to be hunting. I have since purchase a Kestral just to see what the other side is like.

    Advice needed

Hunting every week but not in the same spot. I have 400 acres to hunt. Mind you 250 ish is dairy fields. Exit and entry is some what of an issue for some of my stands due to the Multi Flora Rosa and the briers. As for the wind as I said most times I got it right. When I didn't I waited for a...

    Advice needed

Private land, but the land owner does not want any screw in steps used. Plan on cutting some shooting lanes in the next few weeks. But as I said the Rosa grows back quickly. Not sure how to do SRT, barely got one season behind me in the saddle. I like the idea of using the life line. I have few...
