    DOG CONTROL

That is truth right there! And as I try to grow into a more decent person… life gets more complicated. 20yrs ago it would have already been handled and I would still be denying that I knew what happened!

    DOG CONTROL

Acreage One dog is like a great-pyrenees and the other is a border collie mix. And yes the neighbor said they kill anything that comes in their pasture. Problem is they don’t stay in their pasture. And yes I hunt for deer. Thanks

    DOG CONTROL

WHAT WOULD YOU DO? Here’s my situation… I have two neighbors, a father in one house and a son in another, who each have large dogs. They do nothing to control the dogs and have in conversations mentioned that the dogs have drug in over 10 deer carcasses last year. In the meantime I see no more...

    SRT-Hitch Climbing and Platforms

Thanks! I’ll keep that in mind. I’m also thinking about just going as high as I can then set my platform, set a short tether and reach my SRT line up again? Time will tell.

    SRT-Hitch Climbing and Platforms

Yeah I want to give it a try as well. Don't know how it will go but, I'm going to at least give it a try! Thanks,

    SRT-Hitch Climbing and Platforms

That Tourette’s line was classic! But the last line is what I’m talking about…transitioning to the top side of the tree. The last tree I tried to SRT climb was an oak that didn’t appear to have much lean to it but by the time I was halfway up I couldn’t even touch the tree with my feet. I have...

    SRT-Hitch Climbing and Platforms

Help me out guys…I’m wanting to start SRT/Hitch Climbing my trees and I want to use the push-pole method to do it. My concern is will I be able to stay on the “top” side of the tree? I don’t want to set my platform on the low side of the tree and fight gravity all day but I’m not sure that I’ll...

    Thumb Buttons and Stealth Strips

So I just switched to the Stan SX3 thumb button release and LOVE IT!! It’s tightened my groups up like crazy! But I’m struggling with two things… 1- This thing is SHINY!! Like I don’t think I can bring myself to load it on the D-loop and leave it hang for fear that the deer are gonna see it...

    Platforms and COLD FEET

That sounds pretty cool, any chance you could add a pic?

    Gloves and Thumb Buttons

I may just need to quit being a wimp? But man, I’ve had those late October evening sits when the temps drop from the mid-upper 50s to the mid-low 30s while sitting on an oak flat and the next thing you know a deer starts feeding in so you reach for your bow. 30 minutes later you’re still waiting...

    Gloves and Thumb Buttons

I’m probably setting myself up for problems later on but I’m looking at switching from my wrist-strap trigger release to a thumb button. My question is “Can you use a thumb button with gloves?” Thanks for your input!

    Platforms and COLD FEET

I’m sold on the heated socks idea! Thanks for the input y’all!

    Platforms and COLD FEET

Another concern I have for wrapping the platform or covering it with carpet or something is odor. I absolutely play the wind as much as possible but in Southeast Ohio the thermals change and the woods and hills cause the winds to swirl so bad I also do everything I can to eliminate foreign odor.

    Platforms and COLD FEET

I’ve thought about that but wasn’t sure how slippery it would be?

    Platforms and COLD FEET

Yes sir I have a pair of Artic Shields and use them on a tree stand. I’m not sure how well I’ll do trying to put them on while standing on a platform?

    Platforms and COLD FEET

Okay folks, let me ask… am I the only one whose feet get cold standing on a metal platform with air circulating all around it? Any thoughts on how to insulate a platform?

    Eberhart saddle changes

I do tend to sit pretty low and kneel against the tree. Tether is about nose height?
