    This is my DIY platform from a cheap lock on I got from Walmart years back. It done me great for two years. I added a versa button on the bottom crossbar and it was solid after I done that. Light too only 3.8lbs with the paracord

    Yes. This what I learned from my taxidermist. He told me he was possibly hit by a car. I was unsure of the nature of his antlers before I made the shot. And I didn’t want to jeopardize the herd not knowing this information.

    Anyone using a turkey vest for their gear

    This is the backpack that I use and hands down one of the best that does not cost a lot. My platform goes on the bottom two straps of the pack and sticks go on the front of the pack. Plenty of storage and great pack.

    Xop edge $119 at midwayusa

    I got mine over a week ago. Very solid. Little over 5lb on the platform. My DIY platform is 2lb lighter but does not bite into the tree like the xop. So I’m sticking to the xop cause the rigidity of it and and pack where I strap it there isnt much of a feel difference.
