    Climbing foot rope?

I use the petzl foot cord. It’s dynema and $39. Very light. https://www.treestuff.com/petzl-footcord-dyneema-foot-loop/

    Air rifle recommendation

.22 is plenty for rabbits. .177 is enough for rabbits as they die really easily compared to squirrels. Some of the air rifles easily hit a dime at 50 yards so head shots are simple with them.

    Air rifle recommendation

I prefer pcp air rifles similar to the marauder (FX makes some excellent but expensive rifles). I charge them off a scuba tank. It may seem like a lot of $ but a good air rifle is a pretty amazing weapon and if you buy one that isn’t accurate or is loud it will just sit in your closet. Buy once...

    Gear grabber on pull rope

Little Yella Grapna is what I carry. I have a loop of throw line tied on it and I can put it on the end of my pull line if I have to snag something I’ve dropped.

    Live from the saddle 2020

Shot a doe and a little while later two bucks came in. They weren’t bothered that she was dead but just seemed curious if she was in season yet. Took a little video of it and this is a picture from the video.

    Safegaurd and Oplux Ropes

I tried oplux with my safeguard. It climbed really well by I had problems rappelling with it. The oplux wanted to bind up in the safeguard because of its thin diameter. I had to use a hand ascender and aider to take my weight off the line and unjam the rope. I was kind of stuck halfway down...

    Annihilator broadheads?

I bought two 3 packs of them last year. They shoot the same as my field points out of my xbow. Deer season opened today so I haven’t shot a deer with one yet but I’m hoping they work well. They feel sturdy and well maid. Easy to re sharpen too.

    Climbing method as platform

What are you doing to release the solo remotely? Looked pretty slick but I wasn’t sure what you were using or how you did it. Looks like you are using a cam strap?

    Ohio feral hogs

I’m in SW Ohio. Cincinnati area. We don’t have wild hogs here. I haven’t heard of any in surrounding counties either. Was supposed to go to Texas last weekend for a hog hunt but it was cancelled.

Oplux rope and a mechanical rappel

I don’t get all the references to backing up the safeguard or grigri with an auto block. They hold very tight when you aren’t letting out line. You keep your free hand on the tail end as you rappel and then they are very smooth. They are jumpy if you just let the line out without holding the...

    Madrock safe guard

I’ve been using the safeguard for two seasons. It holds on my rope at all times. The lifeguard was sketchy and wouldn’t lock except under tension so I worried it might allow a little free fall if it didn’t set it (lifeguard may be great as a belay device but that’s not what I use it for). I use...

    Predator Pack Overhaul

I attached the hydration pack to my predator pack. Everything in the picture comes to 12lbs 1oz and it’s everything I need for my climbing system and platform. ( 5 step aider, 55’ 9mm htp, mad rock safeguard, carabiner, climbing stick, predator platform, d ring, & pack) I’d like to be able to...

    Predator Pack Overhaul

Dave, do they have burrs where you live? Seems fleece would fill up with them and they can be bad here in the Midwest. Fleece is nice and quiet though.
