    Adjustable bridge ideas?

Started the year with right side of bridge tied into saddle. Left side runs through a prusik knot that is tied around my bridge loop on the left side. On the end of the rope is a loop with a stopper knot. I daisy chain my lmb on my left hip and will clip in the end my my bridge to the biner...

If you had only one ascender....

I'd also say linemans belt. I'd also say I prefer a distel hitch with a tender for both LB and tether.

What kind of hitch can I make?

I switched from a ropeman to a distel hitch this year and prefer it. Lighter, quieter and I feel more confident it won't fail. Not to mention it's much cheaper if you have some extra sections of climbing ropes sitting around.

    Saddle Coveralls

Think I found something inexpensive to try out. Under $10. Army surplus trouser liners. They are short to cut over boots and button up the sides. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

thinking of getting a Doyle gear hoist

Exactly how I do it and one of the best convenience improvements I’ve ever made to my hunting setup. I’m m not a weight weenie but I do like to minimize bulk and I debated for 2 seasons using the Doyle’s. I got one this year and I’d carry it if the weight doubled. Such a hassle free time...

    Saddle Coveralls

Awesome. I’ve been looking for some bibs or coveralls that I could fit with my saddle underneath. I have some Cabela’s Berber fleece bibs that work to some extent as I can run the bridge through the 2 way center zip but doesn’t work well to use lineman’s belt. Been debating cutting the inside...

    Bow holder what cha using?

Sea to summit accessory strap with some plastic hooks. Prefer the hook style vs the plastic buckles of some other straps. Faster and easier to use. More compact in the pocket. https://www.rei.com/product/848269/sea-to-summit-alloy-buckle-38-accessory-straps-package-of-2 Sent from my iPhone...

    Hauling sticks

I use the sea to summit accessory straps to hold sticks together. And then I strap them to my Exo 2000 pack. Straps are awesome, light and strong. I use a longer one with hooks for a tree strap to hold bow and bag...

    Hawk helium teeth change?

Anyone file the standoffs to a sharper edge so they bite the tree more, maybe like a beast stick?

Packing in gear and clothes during a hang an bang

I wear my full bottom layers, pants are Kuiu with side zips to dump heat and work awesome. Up top I wear just a lightweight merino baselayer. I pack/strap top layers between my bag and my sticks. At the tree I unpack, usually swap to fresh socks, put on my midlayer/vest, hang sticks and get set...

    Aero hunter buckle?

Anybody replace the heavy metal waste belt buckle on the kestrel? It’s a 1 3/4 inch webbing and that seems to be the only size plastic buckle I can’t find. I’d like to lighten and quiet the setup more and after 1.5 years in this saddle the buckles just seem totally overkill. Open to any...

    Bullman Ring of Steps

I didn't care for using them with the ratchet strap but since I picked up the OCB from DanO I like them much better. They get super snug and I have no kick out to side pressure. I am only using the bullmans as a ROS paired with the Artisan mini platform on top of my sticks. I'm liking this setup...

    Wild edge rope as bridge?

Anyone tried this? I have an extra and considering this vs climbing rope or climbing spec tubular webbing I have. I like that I could splice it to each side of the saddle so no knots or biners, it's lightweight and won't hold water (ice?) like my climbing rope does here in MI. Didn't see load...

Double step for Lone Wolf sticks

Very cool - I am just getting into saddle hunting and am interested in getting a double step for my top LW stick. I don't have the tools or skills probably to make one but I'd be interested in buying one once you figure it out. I am still working my way through all the forum posts to educate...
