LW Seat platform with Whoopie Sling attachment

Hi Again G2O, you and a few others mentioned re-enforcing. Where in particular are you re-enformcing and have you run into any issues at the hinge? I can see the pressure at the hinge wearing down the aluminum. I hope I'm wrong... I just wanted to see if that's been an issue or not.

    BassboysLLP's ultimate platform

Maybe I'm missing it somewhere.. Where do you source a seat to use as a platform that has those teeth in the back? Is that the Klemz platform? I looked at XOP and Lone wolf for that part and can't find it. I searched Klemz and can't find it that way either. Thanks in advance.

    In search of tether

In case you're looking for a place to go looking, I've used R&W rope. They have been easy to work with and carry the right stuff. I use Static climbing rope for the tether. I'm new to this forum (plenty of climbing experience) and would imagine most might agree that you would want something...

    Lineman/Bridge/Ascender idea

Thanks Tracker. First is the most important: Wire biner . . . You're right! Not the best selection and I appreciate pointing that out. I guess I moved forward with that knowing its not my primary attachment, safety wise. Locking carabiner to prussik to tether, is my primary life support...

    Boots

I like these. I hunt in northern Illinois so needless to say, it gets cold. These are warm, light, and the soles are pretty rigid. One complaint is there seems to be a pinch point around the ankle once and a while. Men's 3859 Shadow Trek Waterproof 800 Gram 9" Big Game Boot Merry Christmas

    Lineman/Bridge/Ascender idea

sorry if this is old news... I see ascenders connected via carabiner. A metal to metal contact that can be noisy... I loop a small accessory chord (the one in this pic is a bit long) through and it's silent. Maybe this helps others... I also eliminated some tubular webbing by using the same...

Best backpack or frame pack for your saddle setup?!

I started out with a cabelas backpack which seems to always be on sale for about 30bucks. I know now this forum is no stranger to a speedy stitcher. I got one of these and my customization options blew wide open. Every time I was out in the field and I had a wish, I'd write it down and create...

Thoughts or Advice for todays hunt?

Good Morning Saddle Hunters, This afternoon I will be hunting a new spot (pasted or attached) somewhat blind and hoping to get a few thoughts/advice on what you would do. I haven't had a chance to scout this spot. There is a NE wind at 7mph forecast so I figured today might be a good day to...
