    TX5 Minimalist

For me it’s about the perfect setup. I can hunt like a traditional lock-on or like a saddle. Most times I find myself standing up and leaning against the tree tho.

    TX5 Minimalist

Yes I hunt out of a .5 most of the time

When layed out flat it is larger than my phantom

    TX5 Minimalist

I have one but only have a couple hunts on it. So far it’s not blown me away. It’s a well made and solid saddle but doesn’t do anything that my phantom doesn’t. Maybe more time will tell. Nothing wrong with it but just wasn’t as small and compact as I expected.

    Quiet Outer Wear Thread

I’ve been happy with almost all my Natural Gear clothes. The rain gear make some noise but all my other pieces have been very quiet

    DIY Kayak Blind (need input)

My duck hunting these days often involves my kayak(Ascend H10) and I’ve found that DIY ghillie netting is the easiest and simplest. No doors and no moving parts. With wearing a ghillie shoulder shroud and ghillie netting on the boat you will eliminate the need for doors and IMO it is less boxy...

Hot meal while in the Saddle

Spot on. Fat adapted metabolism is awesome and freeing. I actually perform better on trail runs when totally fasted and running on fat.

Hot meal while in the Saddle

I agree with the others that a thermos is the way to go. I use a yeti coffee thermos for coffee and it keeps it hot until after lunchtime easily. I also feel like it’s worth mentioning that it helps to pre-heat the thermos in order to reduce the amount of heat loss from the final liquid that you...

    Deer Schools

I’ll throw Murray State University into the mix here in western KY. Not a great big school but a very solid wildlife biology program and is affordable. I’m friends with several of the faculty and they are great folks. With the lakes and rivers being close by there is an emphasis on aquatic...

The everyman's guide to killing a deer with a trad bow???

Decently new to trad but my biggest advice is practice being able to draw to anchor and not shoot.

    LWCG stand setups

All this talk of straps and I had to chime in… When packing my Shikars on my .5 I now only use the cam buckle strap by itself and it holds them tight to the stand without issue. No more piddly straps to lose in the leaves.

    E-Bike, ATV, or Polaris?

I have an Ebike and a 4-wheeler. If you primarily hunt public I’d go E-bike, if you own or hunt private I’d say side-by-side or wheeler. Better play it safe and get one of each

    Heated Socks With Remote

I know this thread is about electric socks, but has anyone tried placing a wool sock on the outside of their boot around the toes once they’re setup? Tried this recently in 20 degree weather and I felt it made a noticeable Difference.

    Ebikes. Are they worth it?

With only a handful of uses so far I would say yes. Not a ton of low end torque when starting out but good top end speed. For me this is fine because I’ll have very few hills where I’ll be using it the most. And haven’t had it long enough to speak to battery life but I did opt for the larger battery

    Ebikes. Are they worth it?

Just bought a M2S fat tire Ebike and love it. I hunt some large ag pieces in western KY I expect it to save me a lot of time. Have already used it a fair bit in the last two weeks
