Add a Dryad Drey Retro-fit to my Tethrd Mantis or get a new saddle?

I have had a Mantis for a few years now, but have never been able to get super comfortable. It functional, I would like something more comfortable for longer sits. I was considering adding a Dryad retro-fit to help out with comfort. Is that a good idea or should I just look for a new saddle?

Second saddle buck of the season.

This is my second deer from a saddle and my last buck tag for the season. He chased a doe around for awhile at full speed. Then another buck joined in the chase and they eventually squared off. First legit fight I've been able to witness. This buck actually broke both main beams off the other...

    X-Stand Mantis climbing stick review

I asked on here awhile back if anyone had tried these Mantis sticks and didn't get any replies, but picked up a set anyway. These sticks are lighter than they look, a little loud (getting rid of the buckles helps an expanding foam in the hollow tubes) and have no moving parts (which I like). I...

Any videos on how to put a tender on a Prusik knot?

I'm trying to make my Prusik knots easier to use. Tried a Ropeman 2, but it didn't work well on my Tethrd ropes...little teeth kept getting stuck... I was going to buy a Ropeman 1, but have been seeing info about adding a tender to the Prusik. I just don't see many videos on how it's done...

    FS - PLEASE CLOSE

Been needing to do this for awhile, but just now getting around to cleaning out my hunting closet to help fund a couple other projects. If you would like more specific pics of a certain item, please let me know. 1. WE Stepps set of 8 w/bag. I have used them three times. I did cut a small hole...

X-Stand Mantis Climbing Stick 31" Aluminum...anyone tried these?

I don't see anything about these sticks here, anyone tried them? I'll probably still end up with Helium's but these were intriguing.

First saddle kill and my biggest bow buck!

Started saddle hunting this year, and so glad I decided to try it. So much nicer than packing a stand through the woods. I've been hunting a small chunk of state forest the last couple years and knew there had to be a solid buck there. Got a cold north wind and setup just downwind of a bedding...

What kind of rope for hanging climbing sticks?

I'm going to modify my Leverage sticks and add a versa-button. What kind of rope should I get to replace the cam buckles? Going for reasonably price over weight savings...i.e. didn't want to spend the money on Amsteel. Not overly concerned about weight, just hate how loud the original buckles...

PLEASE CLOSE FS EZ-V Sight Black

I sold my backup bow and the guys didn't want the sight. It's like new, never hunted with. I don't really need two, as I'm not planning on buying another backup bow. Has all 9 inserts, instructions, targets, etc. $100 tyd PP F&F or money order.

    FS - 10 Solid 100gr Broadheads SOLD

I'm changing directions on broadheads, so I have 10 100gr Solid with the 1/2" bleeders. 5 are brand new, 3 have been through deer and are in good shape, and 2 were used for target practice, so a few nicks, but could be resharpened and hunted with. $115 tyd. I'll try and post some pics later.

Should I use a platform? First time saddle hunting...

I have been using WE steps to climb and rest my feet on, but I was thinking about adding a platform to my setup. This is my first year hunting with a saddle, so I don't have a ton of experience yet. I was trying to forgo the platform to save weight and space, but if it is worth it to have one, I...

    Bad luck streak continues...

Last night I snuck out to a piece of state forest ground by my house. I setup along a creek that funnels deer down between two big ridges, headed to a private crop field. I had a nice buck come through about 6:15. He was 26yds, and broadside. At the shot he turned toward me and the arrow...

    Almost...

I've been hunting public land the last three seasons, after exclusively hunting private ground for 20+ years. I'm getting better about getting on deer each year. I've killed a couple small 8pts over the last couple years with a bow, but wanted to try and harvest a solid buck this year. I snuck...

    Tree Spurs? What kind? Costs?

I am new...really new, don't even have a saddle in hand yet... and have been looking at all the info on tree spurs. It seems like a method I would like to try out. One things I haven't really seen is a list of models that would be a good place to start or how much a decent set of spurs will...
