F/S Guido’s Web XL and 4 Aluminum API steps

I’ve got a Guido’s Web XL and 4 Aluminum API steps. This Web has been hunted from less than a dozen times. It’s never been in the rain, it’s never ridden in the bed of the truck. It’s been well kept. It’s in perfect shape, it just doesn’t fit my style of hunting as I hoped it would. $325...

Lightweight setup for ascending and descending

Yeah, my main thought is the rappelling down quickly. I saw a vid somewhere, of a guy climbing with a web, with a single strap to put his feet in, that worked on tension, around the tree. Step on it, stand, adjust your tether on your web, sit, move your foot strap up the tree, and repeat until...

Lightweight setup for ascending and descending

I bought me a Guido's Web, back during archery season, and I love it. I was sitting in it the other day, and although my setup with 4 LW sticks is fairly light, I got to thinking about ways to go lighter. I know folks use the spikes, or rope tension climbing method, with no sticks for...

Using a Saddle After Back Surgery

2 yrs ago I had a L5/S1 discectomy, and just recently switched to a Guido's Web. It's one of the only hunting setups I've found that I can sit in for extended periods. The other is a millennium M-100. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Solution instead of trying to cast the Ameristep Steps

10-4, the thought came to me the other day. I've got a buddy that is an ag pilot, and they have a metal replicator for making plane parts that aren't available anymore. He and I were discussing doing this the other day with some steps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Solution instead of trying to cast the Ameristep Steps

Instead of casting the Ameristep strap on steps, has someone thought about using a replicator, and making some out of Aluminum? Replicators are used all the time, to make wooden and metal parts. Also they should be much stronger when made out of forged or billet, than if they were cast.

    Given the choice?

I've got plenty of the Ameristeps, and 4 of the api steps in the last pic, but that's it. Was looking to sell the Ameristeps, but may carry both with me to IL this next week, and try them out. I've not used this platform method yet, and was just wanting opinions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Given the choice?

Actually there are 3 types, 2 are similar, and the strap goes through a slot on the front side of the step (difference in these 2, is that the slot is open in the middle on one, and the other is completely closed). The other has a closed slot for the strap, on the back of the step. This is the...

    Given the choice?

Would you rather use some of the older aluminum API strap on steps, or the Ameristep strap steps for your platform? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
