    Need help finding a product

A year or so ago I came across a little gadget and I can’t seem to find it again or who made it. What I am hunting for is a small piece that sticks to the body part of a thumb release. It allows you to clip the release onto your D loop. Then you can clip the body of your release to your string...

So Who's the Lucky Yarak Winner?

Now I know why people call the saddle a diaper. Buncha babies on here.

How to attached Perch to Mantis

No it’s different. It’s got a flat back so it sits tight in the molle loops. Hard to explain. My Doyle hoist hangs from it. Even with that weight you don’t even know it’s there

How to attached Perch to Mantis

Mine hangs off a Petzl Caritool (size small). Best thing I’ve attached to my saddle.

    Wild Edge steps moving

I was pretty pissed about my steps and perch purchase at first. But I didn’t realize the ropes needed stretched and the perch step should be cammed with the perch in place. Now I love the whole set up. Takes some practice too, I think some give up too early.

    Tethrd SYS Haulers

Cool! When did you place your order?

    Tethrd SYS Haulers

I ordered two sys haulers on the 28th of April. I was told on 7/9 that I’d have it before the end of July. Not even an email yet as of Aug. 20th. I knew it was backordered, but darn... 4 months? Pretty annoyed with Tethrd.

    Carabiner options

I just switched all mine to Cypher Firefly II’s. It’s one of the smallest/lightest screw gates you can get and it’s not a ridiculously bright color like most. And only 6.20 on backcountryGear

    descenting rubber boots

The only way to get it off is to wear them... A lot. Eventually it’ll go away. I always buy my granges in the winter. Wear them shed hunting and scouting. In spring and summer wear them for running trail cams. By the time season gets here they don’t smell a bit.

    Webbing bridge on Mantis

    Webbing bridge on Mantis

Exactly. Quick and removable. Tired of shoving mine down in the front of my pants when I walk. Plus it’ll be easier on and off if I don’t have to step in and out of a fixed bridge. I ended up buying a 2’ Yates top rope / rescue anchor runner and a Cypher firefly locking carabiner for the end...

    Webbing bridge on Mantis

Does anybody use a climbing sling? Girth hitched on one end and carabiner on the other? Something like this one... https://www.backcountrygear.com/catalog/product/view/id/137917/s/magic-sling-12-0-60-cm/category/477/

    Milkweed dispenser

@heartdart you should probably just do what he says. He has 30+ years of milkweed experience and seems to be very critical of your technique.

    best scouting app ive found

Tried OnX a couple times but don’t see what all the hype is about. keep going back to Gaia. So many more map layers and features (timber harvests, wildfires, like 5 or 6 satellite layers, cwd zones, WMUs and on and on)
