Basic how-to of traditional archery video: The Push

I second what ricky racer said.. anyone who is getting their feet wet within traditional archery needs to make a trip to the CTB Rendezvous. The people make the event. The board members emphasize servant leadership, getting the kids involved, and making sure everyone feels welcome. While the...

    Suggestions for Deer processing equipment

If you guys want to see the best complete guide to butchering and getting your deer broken down into great cuts, this video from a local pair of butchers is one of the best I have ever seen - but I get excited about this stuff so it was nothing for me to watch this hour long video (they have...

    About a trad bow...

If you find yourself fully consumed in a few years, and are looking for a dynamite short bow, the 2-piece Wengerd Tahr hybrid longbow is an amazing bow. I believe it's 56". Performs amazing.

    3d buck target suggestion?

Yeah they can't beat the price on those smaller guys, but the Rhinehart Midwest Buck is listed at $479, which according to Midway USA simulates a 155 lb. deer. RealWild's simulates a 250 lb. deer and says 40" height (I'm thinking to the shoulder only because Rhinehart states their midwest buck...

    3d buck target suggestion?

The other thing about their "big buck" target, it is legitimately the size of a 250 lb. whitetail. Huge target. Feels like you're truly shooting at a mature buck and cheaper than a Rhinehart half its size.

    3d buck target suggestion?

RealWild 3D by Big Shot Archery. Cheaper, more realistic, and pretty darn close to being just as durable as a Rhinehart. Never any issue pulling arrows either.

Definitely take the time to focus on your mechanics initially, I think a lot of us would like to go back so we never developed bad habits within our shot. I'm sure with watching the Push's stuff, you are familiar with Tom Clum, Sr. Try to soak that...

    Cryptic Creatures Got Me Thinkin....

Was reading the Sasquatch discussion this morning, which my heart and curiosity would like to believe, but lack of physical evidence has my logical brain unable to fully accept their existence. However, it reminded me of a story from a good old hunting buddy... Known this guy since I was a...

    binoculars

Lots of folks using Maven's I see lately, anyone use or test them out before? Donnie Vincent uses them so I'm curious how they stack up. Heard they were a DTC company, wondered if their glass was any good - aesthetically the body looks sharp.

    Opinions on this platform idea

@judgerunner so wouldn't that require him to completely add a second strap to his setup? With connection at the footrests what is to be done about the rear post and top standoff which no longer have contact and anchorage to the tree?
