In-field Injuries, Med Kits, and Tomfoolery

Last summer I was out scouting ground with a buddy and his kid. I was leading the way, my buddy behind and his son was last in the single file line spaced out by about 5-10 yards. My buddies kid starts screaming and running all over the place and we go running back to him to find hundreds of...

    Arrow selection question

The heavier the arrow the quieter your bow will be. 350 gr is way too light for a hunting arrow. You might need to add some point weight to weaken the arrow spine in order to get it tune because you dropped a few pounds. You got time before season starts, play around with it, but I wouldn't go...

    Saddle backpack video

Thanks for watching it! Im just like you, I'm always watching reviews and dumps too. I never see this pack brought up in pack discussions so I figured I let people know about this versatile gem

    Saddle backpack video

I strapped the sticks to the pack before the video to show how well they fasten to the pack. I haven't decided what I'm going to use between the two yet. Still in heavy tinkering mode

    Saddle backpack video

I've been seeing a lot of threads on people asking about which pack for their set up. Of my kit my pack is the one thing I have figured out so I decided to make a short video on it. Take a look. Thanks

    Out of state DIY hunts

I've done the hotel and camping on trips. I did a early spring scouting camping trip with my brother and a buddy and we had a pretty nice set up. Blackstone griddle, food cooler, drink cool (on hunting trips there's a potential meat cooler), booze, fire wood, and a couple of those 5-7 gal...

    Changed my bridge system

How does this set up feel when you have to roll your hips to make a short 6 o'clock shot? Im running 1" webbing for my bridge and if I could use it for my tether too it was be about half the bulk of the 12mm rope I'm using now.

Help me choose a good pack

I'm running an eberlestock stock transformer pack. It fits my WE steps, saddle, platform knee pads with enough room to squeeze in my possibles pouch and puffy jacket. Plenty of straps on the outside to strap anything else you need

    Magnus Broadhead Recommendations

I've been shooting the buzzcut serrazors for the last couple years. I laid down a few deer with them. In my mind they are penetrator head and not bleeders. I stuck a dandy on a hard quartering to shot. Tucked it tight to the shoulder, exited through the guts. He only went 150 yards and piled...

    Arrow recommendations

I shoot the white ones out of my recurve. They're tough but never put them through an animal. If you do go this route upgrade to the brass inserts

Asking Permission to Access Public Land through Private?

If you can get a hold of 10 of them you should be able to get access. Just make it clear your intentions right off the bat and if you got any little kids/ niece/ nephew/ neighbors kid take them with you. Most people I get private access from I have to specify I will only be carrying a bow and...

    Fixed Blade Broadhead

Magnus buzzcuts fly really well, but blood trails havent been the greatest. They penetrate very well though. QAD Exodus are great but generally take more tuning. Better blood, but don't penetrate as much. I've been happy with both and would shoot either at an elk or whitetail

    Using a kayak for access...

Kayaks are the way to go but the ascent hybrids might have too much drag and be a little tougher to paddle upstream compared to a regular one. If you already have a canoe what about investing that money you're going to be putting into a new kayak into a good trolling motor so you dont have to...
